  1. Well... I certainly don't have the leisure time for something like that!
  2. Doesn't have enough leisure time to browse a website with very limited content - uses leisure time to go to a message board to bitch about it.
  3. I actually agree with all of that. Necessary? Not really. A highly successful stereo mix that expands on the original mono mix? You'd better fucking believe it! I received the Super Deluxe Edition for Father's Day. It lives up to the billing, and then some, IMO. The new mix is even a little cleaner than the 2009 remaster, which I would have never thought possible.
  4. I once listened to Zappa, almost exclusively, for an entire year. For at least three years Coltrane took up around 75% of my listening time.
  5. Hmmm...no longer available.
  6. Is the SHM Love Supreme superior to the Deluxe Edition, in your opinion? Just as good?
  7. Ok, I'm with you now. All other releases have been tweaked and fiddled with. These you're speaking of are not only from the original master tapes, but the actual original mix and master.
  8. I'm not understanding when you mention a flat transfer. I thought that meant that it would sound exactly like the master it's transferred from. ?
  9. But every title (regardless of origin or year) is remastered for SHM releases, right? In other words, those particular masters aren't available through anyone else?
  10. Do the Japanese labels remaster the material, or simply redistribute?
  11. Or simply don't subscribe to it in the first place. Solutions!
  12. Yeah, the '65 material is truly astonishing. My two favorite Jazz albums are Sun Ship and First Meditations.
  13. What the hell are you talking about?! Links to Youtube?!
  14. Not that I'm aware of. I get emails from them once or twice a week. But certainly not every day.
  15. Even though I have 92 discs worth of Coltrane as a leader, and gave my son the middle name "Coltrane", I've actually heard enough. He's one artist I just don't feel I got short-changed on. I think anything else is going to be nothing but more of the same. Not that that's a bad thing, just not a necessary thing.
  16. iTunes started this a few years ago. Oddly enough, I've never looked at any of the ones I've gotten.
  17. I can honestly say that I've never had anything lost in the mail. Nor a package from UPS/Fed Ex/DHL that never showed up.
  18. Had some, snake chow for my girls that was supposed to be here yesterday, and it was. (figured since shipping companies are taking a beating here, why not a prop for balance)
  19. We place a monthly order with a pet supply company based in Florida. I believe they use UPS, and the package comes all the way up to Kentucky before turning south again back down into either Arkansas or Mississippi, before reaching us here. IIRC, once it actually went through Texas.
  20. That's pretty extreme! I've watched some crazy tracking reports from Fed-Ex in the past, but that one takes home the grand prize.
  21. Sounds like they're now in direct competition with iTunes Match.
  22. Thanks, gents! It was a wonderful day!
  23. Well, nobody has ever accused iTunes of being a trouble free software application, that's for sure!
  24. Interesting thought. But even if he maxed out, why would that prevent him from loading to his current devices? At least the ones that were already approved. Do you drag and drop, mjzee? Or do you check and apply? The reason I ask is that I've never dragged and dropped on my iMac. Well, exception being hen I create playlists.
