Can Britney even make her own crap sell 1 million any more? Maybe worldwide, but not domestic US. I'm not really up on such things, but got the impression she jumped the shark a few years ago. She ate the shark.

The one under Dannie Richmond's name, which also has Adams and Pullen, as well as Jack Walrath, is a really good one as well.

Why? A drum solo with every song is really boring, in my opinion. Drum solos in jazz, as a general rule, should occur only in moderation.

Any drummer, other than a certifiable jazz giant, who takes more than one solo per set.

Thanks. I seem to remember hearing radio shows on local public radio back in the 1970s where they were playing unreleased Dick and Kiz Harp recordings. I wonder what happened to those tapes?

I have an ESP-Disc LP from 1973, volume 1 of 6 volumes of broadcasts from the Royal Roost, Bud with Roy Haynes and Oscar Pettiford--from Feb. 7 and Feb. 14, 1953. The cover has no information but rather features a collage in which there is a dog with the head of a man--the disc is on clear yellow vinyl--the B side label has a floating man with the head of a bird. The back cover explains that this is from the Boris Rose collection, and there is also a 14 volume series of Charlie Parker broadcasts, and three volumes of Billie Holiday broadcasts. I wonder how many of these were actually released?

I happened to find one of the LPs in a Half Price Books recently. Strangely enough, the jacket is for At the 90th Floor Again, while the LP is At the 90th Floor. I must say, while this style is not normally one that appeals to me, there is something appealing about this music. I quite like Kiz' vocals, and she and Dick Harp are true musical partners. The version of Angel Eyes is now easily my favorite vocal version of this song. I tried to buy the two reissue CDs at the label's website, but I could never get any email answer from the site, which accepted only paypal. Kind of frustrating.

If I recall correctly, Father and Son was released by the original Candid on an anthology. This is the song that has stuck with me from this recording.

I never even noticed that Mosaic boxes were easily damaged. I keep all the CDs/LPs and booklets in the original Mosaic boxes, stored vertically on a book shelf.

I wouldn't miss a chance to see McCoy or the wonderful Charnett Moffett. In fact, they are playing in Austin next month and I'm planning on driving (about 200 miles) to see him.

Dallas only has one egomaniacal receiver whining for the ball--the rest of them are all unselfish and team oriented. It is however rather difficult to disagree with your avatar in the room.
