Yes, he is great. I was lucky to see him live in Austin twice in the early 1990s. My favorites are Clube de Esquina, Anima, Milton (the one I depict above), Milagre dos Peixes, and Native Dancer

That's a different record. The Milton you depict was recorded in the United States. The Milton I depict was recorded in Brazil in 1970.

That's the way I organize Prestige LPs--by catalog number, but subdivided between the main label and the sublabels (New Jazz, Moodsville, Swingville, Bluesville, International, Tru Sound).

I've seen him twice and quite liked his playing. He seemed very nice also when I picked up a couple of his CDs.

A great thing about a festival like Big Ears is not just reinforcing your existing tastes but introducing new musicians, and in the case of the second wave, Yasmin Williams, while not jazz, is fantastic.
