  1. Am I missing that if purchased Amazon will restock? It already says "more on the way" so they plan to keep it available. If you were directing him to the Steeplechase distributor (is there still one, Gary somebody?) or them directly I'd say OK but I just don't see how an Amazon purchase helps "the folks financing the recording".
  2. How does something purchased for retail from Amazon rewarding Steeplechase? They already got their wholesale price. You're way less aggressive than I am! I've offered $2 on several $5 offerings and had it accepted, and went half on an out of print OJC and had it accepted too. I think it helps though to go thru the entire listing and make it clear that if he'll accept he's getting something on a lot of stuff. I've been rejected on discogs all of one time.
  3. Assumes facts not in evidence.
  4. Tom if you go with the download option I am pretty sure I can provide the liners to go with the music..
  5. I am presently handling a family medical emergency and am unlikely to post answers before next weekend, giving extra time for this BFT to finally experience its death rattle. Or lots of answers to be magically posted. I know where my money is.
  6. I think the totally new show from Vancouver and the "studio" part of the France recording is what excites me the most.
  7. Two is Jack Walrath but tenor is not Carter Jefferson. Three is not Bobby Watson.
  8. Assuming I don't put it out of its misery sooner.
  9. You mean the three people who bothered to participate?
  10. So you've heard Rhythm N Blues Dance Party? That one looks way rarer than the In Sweden one.
  11. A friend was trying to sign up and he's not getting the email with the confirmation link in it. Another glitch from the transfer? But if the software isn't updated what would be preventing it?
  12. Or does Oprah have three hands and Reese Witherspoon three legs? That photo is the actual cover and if you look carefully she apparently has two legs coming out of her right knee. Wonder which one is original. And here's Oprah.
  13. What a birthday gift - the Big O back up and running. Hope the rest of it is nearly as enjoyable.
  14. I was thinking the Paris stuff is what's on youtube and I downloaded/extracted audio from that set but I won't mind better sound on that. I never heard of the Antibbes date or the other live set.
  15. Jim Thome, yes! but I just found out Jack Morris is going in via some committee and this happened six weeks ago? Ugh. There ought to be a rule, if you miss out thru the writers vote, you wait another 15 years before anyone else gets to consider you.
  16. https://www.discogs.com/Dave-Kamien-Lets-Swing-Jazz-Zum-Mitnehmen/release/3155393 Another recent Discogs purchase (with much better cover, by the way). Apparently issued with a book about jazz improvisation, and unfortunately side 2 is a play-along record, same tracks as side 1 but only with the rhythm section. But side 1 certainly swings, and the leader got some heavy hitters to play: Slide Hampton, Wilton Gaynair and Carmell Jones. Reminds me, who was the member who was a completist on Carmell Jones? I don't think he's still here but I wonder if he has this one.
  17. This morning, just received from a discogs seller: Walter Bishop Jr, Soliloquy (Seabreeze) - solo piano from 1975 Duke Jordan Trio, The Great Session (Steeplechase) Up next, the other two in the order, Brew Moore w. Lars Sjosten, single night's work in Stockholm in 1971 released on two labels: No More Brew (Storyville) Brew's Stockholm Dew (Sonet)
  18. I have the Brookmeyer en route and just placed an order for the Kai/Fuller disc plus this: https://www.discogs.com/Tiny-Grimes-With-Roy-Eldridge-One-Is-Never-Too-Old-To-Swing/master/678606 which seems interesting with Frank Wess and Lloyd Glenn aboard too.
  19. When I realized how simple it is to find and since I'm here practically every day I figured ...
  20. Been a few months since we saw ya but hope its a happy one!
  21. Cutie Patootie (Coltrane's nickname, and I am referring to my canine companion) Kim Kardashian Morganna The Kissing Bandit
  22. How did GA even do it? I remember when the software had birthdays notated but that ended a while back, I believe.
  23. Glad I was wearing my seatbelt for that U-eee.
