  1. Did I heard that was getting a rerelease sometime? It's on YouTube, but I'd like to know what it actually sounds like. (Assuming that the tapes are better quality.)
  2. Irene Schweizer - Hexensabbat (FMP, 1978) Reissued and up on Bandcamp. Just great stuff. I've been mixing early Schweizer with Tippett's groups this morning in a heady piano cocktail.
  3. Sad news
  4. Diverse is the word. RIP
  5. Lester Bowie and Phillip Wilson - Duet (Improvising Artists, 1978). New purchase today. First day out of quarantine. From Sounds of the Universe on Berwick St in Soho. A surprise hit with my wife.
  6. Denman Maroney - Fluctuations (New World, 2003)
  7. Currently still in quarantine and trying to watch my first non Disney film in over a year: Husbands by John Cassavetes. Naturally the 1 year old is also watching it.
  8. Ditto on the Snake Oils. I think I like them more even than the 80s stuff.
  9. Carla Bley - Tropic Appetites (Watts, 1974)
  10. Jesus wept.
  11. Edsel Gomez - Cubist Music (Noho, 2006)
  12. James Williams - Alter Ego (Sunnyside) ,
  13. Have you read The Perfect Spy? I watched this one at school in English class. I remember really enjoying it. About three years ago, I remembered it and decided it would be a good film to watch with my wife and mother in law when she was staying with us over the Christmas period. I'm not actually sure that it was such a good film for that purpose. My mother in law still talks about it. At least it was an education for her too, I guess.
  14. Is today the first "not Bandcamp Friday"?
  15. Okay. Understood.
  16. Bobby Previte Quintet - Bump The Renaissance (1986)
  17. Oh gosh. RIP. To what is this a reference?
  18. Steve Lacy Sextet - Scraps (Saravah, 1974)
  19. Albert Mangelsdorff - Trombirds (MPS, 1973)
  20. Gene Ammons - Goodbye (Prestige, 1974)
  21. Yelena Eckemoff Trio - Glass Song (L&H, 2013) A moody piano trio that definitely has a quality that sets it apart from the ECMers or the Drake/Radiohead/Chopin-players. Andersen really makes it.
  22. He's a Twitter fiend. He seems to reply to everything.
  23. I'll give it a go. Certainly not anti Solal.
  24. Nothing JBL has done has hit me at all for some reason, including Jesup Wagon. I'm impressed and very pleased with how well he is doing, but surprised that it's him that's generating such heat.
