I like this one a whole lot.

Oh yes. No much relenting being done on this one. The "Direction" is noise, by the way. In case you were wondering.

Oh great. I'd looked but I had missed it. Thanks!

Karl Drewo - Clap Hands Here Comes Charlie (Metronome, 1961) Another nice one from the Euro Modernism thread.

Wayne Shorter, Dave Liebman, Richie Beirach, Eddie Gomez and Jack DeJohnette - Tribute to Coltrane, Live Under the Sky (Columbia, 1987)
-
Ronnie Ross - Cleopatra's Needle Enjoying what I can hear of this one. Does anyone know any others by Ronnie Ross or his tenor player Art Ellefson that they'd recommend?

I can't say I know him well either to be honest. I think I may have had it on my list to look into from the euromodernism thread a few months back.

Thanks! Supposedly, according to Discogs, the Selection is the earlier, and has full liner notes, which didn't translate to a detailed Discogs entry, however.

Mark Turner - Yam Yam (Criss Cross, 1995) I have come to the conclusion that I enjoy Turner far more as a younger player. He's never been my number one, but there's a feel of excitement to this release.

Didn't he die in 1981 though?

Does anyone know when French/Belgian trumpeter Morales' Miles Inspiration album was recorded and released? Unusually, discogs has nothing.

I'm interested in hearing the responses to this. From the looks of his social media, he has an enormous box set of duets brewing, or something like that.

Currently listening to a miserable parsimonious stream of this wonderful music and wondering why on earth i didn't buy it when it was released.

Elvin Jones - Live at the Village Vanguard (Enja, 1968/74) Some of the best George Coleman out there.
