Amazon UK says that this Miles Fillmore box will be released on the 24th, which is Monday; so I guess that you guys in the British Isles will receive it that day in the mail. Amazon says that my estimated delivery date is March 31 - April 4. Easter is April 20, so I will plan to open mine up then and tell myself the Easter Bunny brought it.

I'm on the Quora mailing list, and found this in today's email. Things programmers know that maybe you don't: Digital content can never be moved, only copied. You can never watch or listen to anything on the internet without having it copied to your computer first. You cannot password protect a computer from someone who has physical access to it, only encryption works. When you empty the trashcan, the files are not deleted. When you format your hard drive, the files are not deleted. Murphy was right. Your desktop computer can run advanced programs for free that used to be available only to big companies for $100,000. Like Unix, virtual machines and SQL servers. The Cloud simply means someone else's computer. That Office documents are actually ZIP files.

Scott, I think that fifteen feet per cable will be enough. It looks like that bluejeans site sells the cable by the foot.

Ted, offhand the darkest light beer I can think of is Amstel Light. Can anyone think of one darker? -
Correct disaac! I wanted to just post the photo on the left, but couldn't do it. Before I saw that photo on the left, I thought she was the most beautiful young actress today. Now, maybe not.

Sonnymax, I think I will follow Stefan Wood's advice from the speaker wire thread and buy from these people. My comment about saving money with in-wall wires was based upon what Amazon is offering. This costs $30.44. http://www.amazon.com/C2G-Cables-29172-Velocity-Speaker/dp/B0002J2BQA/ref=sr_1_26?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1395108238&sr=1-26&keywords=12+awg+speaker+wire+50+ft This costs $24.99. http://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-2-Conductor-Speaker-Copper/dp/B00BWRX1MO/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1395108362&sr=1-1&keywords=12+awg+speaker+wire+50+ft

Mimi Jones, Camille Thurman, Shirazette Tinnin
GA Russell replied to GA Russell's topic in New Releases
I listened to the Camille Thurman a great deal for much of last week. I like it. For whatever reason, its album cover is up on Spotify, but the music is not. ***** The Mimi Jones is also not yet up on Spotify. It is mostly a vocals album. I like it a lot, but I wouldn't call it jazz. More like adult pop. There are some instrumentals, which surprisingly enough remind me of Hatfield & the North. -

Thanks FU! A great service to the community! -
I'll come back tomorrow, and catch up on the doings of the past week. But first I want to point out that the league's website has a poll with videos of recent exciting finishes. I know you'll enjoy them. http://cfl.ca/article/the-great-debate-wildest-cfl-finishes

Think vitamins and antioxidants. Hops kill viruses. Dark beer is better. http://www.foxnews.com/health/2014/03/16/surprising-health-benefits-beer/?intcmp=features

I received the T20's, and after a burn-in period, I have found them to be quite satisfactory for my purposes. Now let's consider again speaker cables. My question is this: I can save at least $7.00 by buying a 50 foot roll of in-the-wall cable. My cables will be out of sight anyway, so I'm wondering if I should splurge on "pretty" wire. Is the $7.00 amount so small that I will wish that I had spent it?

You're welcome MJZ! I believe that these are all single-disc issues, but oldies.com has a large number of Montreux DVDs on sale, typically $4.98 or $5.98. http://www.oldies.com/search/results.cfm?results=DVDs&q=Montreux

Computer Gurus: sleeping and auto start-up
GA Russell replied to GA Russell's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
Jim, I read quite some time ago that screen savers are pointless for modern screens, so I unclicked that option as well. I don't think I made a mistake regarding the subject matter at hand, but now I am having problems with a new USB hub I got that doesn't seem to be working. Sometimes the mouse isn't connected. I am forever getting a notice that I should be using a faster USB port. So it's kind of frustrating, but I think I'm OK. -
Any American small businessmen here?
GA Russell replied to GA Russell's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
This is going on again. They are looking for small businessmen who are willing to once or twice a month discuss briefly their thoughts about various business-related subjects. They typically pay $20 a month in Amazon gift cards. In December they paid me $150, but I don't know if they'll ever do that again.
