  1. RIP. He was a favorite of my mother's. She had three or four of his Cadence albums.
  2. Thanks for the moral support! It should arrive Wednesday. After I hook it up to make sure that everything is OK, I will need to dicker with the ISPs to see who will give me a good bargain.
  3. Honey West: The Complete Series - $11.93 http://www.amazon.com/Honey-West-Complete-Series-Fullscreen/dp/B001B0H7DG/ref=pd_ys_sf_s_2644980011_b1_92_p
  4. Thanks again everyone for your suggestions! This is what I decided on. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005LN1JEC/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 As you can see, it was $68 (24%) off, and thus fit my budget.
  5. Happy Birthday ASNL!
  6. Using this site http://www.thefind.com/ .which is really good...I found this site. Never used them, but they list a 24 Ultrasharp under $204. It doesn't mention if they're new or refurbished. http://www.serverfuture.info/ Blue Train, what is the "Ex. Tax" listed at the ServerFuture website? It consistently doubles the price of the monitors. Is that a VAT that Americans don't have to pay? It looks like my budget won't allow me to go much higher than $200.
  7. I have packed away an LP called Rischkas Soul. As I recall, Rischka was Dauner's producer, and I assumed that they perhaps unkowingly dropped the apostrophe.
  8. John Coltrane - Sidesteps is currently going for $36.49. http://www.amazon.com/Side-Steps-W-Book-24bt/dp/B002N57XBO?SubscriptionId=AKIAJ7T5BOVUVRD2EFYQ&tag=camels-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B002N57XBO
  9. Belated Happy Birthday impossible!
  10. Thanks! I've got to study my finances for the month of May, which will be tight; but my preference is to buy quality and keep it until it dies. My car is an '87 Camry with 285,000 on it!
  11. The Argos have signed Alex Brink. http://www.tsn.ca/cfl/story/?id=422041
  12. Happy Birthday Lazaro!
  13. Congratulations Rooster!
  14. I just took a quick look, and the UltraSharps seem to be going for $300 and up. I think that's more than I want to go for. I'll have to think about it.
  15. Happy Birthday Niko!
  16. On top of which they didn't get much from dropping that low in the draft to pick him. Worst part beside them not picking a DL which like the Raiders they desperately needed.....like the Giants they could have taken Barrett Jones. He was probably the best lineman avialble from Alabama. He started out as a guard. Because of injuries was moved to left tackle in 2011 and won the Outland that year. Moved to center as a senior and won the Rimmington. They only player to win both at two different positions. As well 3 National Championships at three different positions and All-American at three positions. If he came out last year as a left tackle he goes in the first round. As a center/guard..... Hell, they could have even taken Brian Schwenke if they wanted a center that bad. As in, Jerry Jones strikes again. The difference between him and Al Davis is that at one time Al Davis knew what he was doing as de facto GM. Worst picks would be by the Lions and Bears. The Raiders had a Al Davis flashback. They dropped from the 3rd overall to 12 for a single 2nd round pick to pick the fastest DB....he just open heart surgery last Nov to repair a torn inferior vena cava ...it's honestly is a miracle he's even alive. The JETS basically drafted for whomever finally replaces Ryan with two defensive players when their biggest problem is on offense. The Browns picked the player Miami should have if they were going LB instead of OL. Browns needed a WR last year and they picked another QB and a RB. They still need a WR for whomever is QB....and they picked a LB when their defense wasn't the problem. The JETS are supposedly interesed in Ryan Nassib or Geno Smith. What does it say about Ryan Nassib (who beside Barkley was touted to be the most Pro-ready QB's) that his former coach passed on him as QB for someone (who unless the Bills are changing to a read option offense) will be sitting a couple years? The Hoodie got the Nos. 52, 83, 102, 229 from the Vikings for trading the 29th. That's a lot of picks by the Vikings for a 29th, which brings up once again just how litttle the Raiders and Cowboys recieved in return. I like the Rams picks. Bradford needs a WR and if Ogletree can stay out of trouble...he might be the best LB picked in the first round. A big caution for the Jets first pick, the DB- he's had FIVE surgeries already. Most of which are minor. There draft wasn't that good overall. The strangest pick was Richardson. He' doesn't fit Ryan's system like Lotulelei would have....but like I said....I really think this draft was for whomever was finally going to replace Ryan after this year. He needs to go to Canada and show he can play QB for a few years. He's still only 25. Tebow is exciting, and I think that he would do well in the Canadian league. However, I have read that their scouts feel that his arm strength is not sufficient for the big Canadian field. Montreal has the CFL rights to Tebow. Chicago's new head coach is former Montreal coach Marc Trestman. Could Trestman be interested in Tebow for the Bears?
  17. OK, I will look at the Ultrasharp. I was originally thinking about buying from amazon or newegg, but it occurred to me that two weeks ago I was given a ten-week free membership with BJ's, and they sell computers and monitors. BJ's has four Samsung monitors, but they are 22". The price is typically $139.
  18. Thanks very much for your comments, guys! Does everyone agree that 24" is a good size? Since I don't plan on buying a monitor very often, I was wondering if I should get something even bigger.
  19. My monitor stopped working after eight years or so, and I am now at the library studying what is available. Which do you recommend, an LCD or an LED?
  20. Happy Birthday 2013 Mark!
  21. Happy Birthday Aggie!
  22. Happy Birthday King Ubu!

  24. My favorite was Charlie Jones and anybody. Next was Curt Gowdy with Paul Chrisman.
