That surprised me, because it's been decades since I've heard it on the radio, and because I would have thought that the number one song would be something the kids would listen to like hip hop.

I saw Tiant pitch for the Red Sox once in Baltimore. It was a doubleheader in 1975. We had seats in the upper deck directly behind home plate. (I'd never sat there before.) Tiant pitched one game. Mike Cuellar pitched the other. They both pitched complete games and won. Tiant had his screwball, and Cuellar had his Cuban palmball, and it was eighteen innings of the ball squiggling into the catcher's mitt! I'll never forget it.
