Quincy, the article said that Bronfman and his partners had taken all of their money and plenty more out of the company. Perhaps that is why the price has fallen.

Some news about kickers: BC has paid Paul McCallum his bonus, so it looks like they won't cut him after all. Montreal is talking with Nick Setta because they are afraid that Damon Duval will leave. Chuck, I read an article about Warner just the other day. It said that their stock had remained essentially flat, while two of its competitors had fallen 20%. I was surprised to see that, because I have no faith in Edgar Bronfman, Jr. By the way, the article said that Warner was also putting itself up for sale. Was that story linked to in another thread here? I don't remember.

Warner has been interested in acquiring EMI. Maybe now the price will come down.

The first commenter had it right. Citibank was bailed out bigtime by the taxpayers. If there was going to be a bailout, I'd be better off if EMI got the money!

The Riders today hired Richie Hall to be their defensive coordinator. Over the past fifteen years, the two defensive coordinators considered the best in the league have been Hall and Greg Marshall. Some years ago, I noticed that his most highly praised work was his soundtrack to The Knack, FWIW, so I bought it. I enjoy it, but I don't see why it is considered better than others. My favorite is the soundtrack to The Living Daylights. Maybe it is because I enjoyed the movie so much.

As you can see, another problem is that although my post looks fine in the reply area, it comes out as one paragraph. I had the same problem yesterday with the bargain box thread.

I have my Firefox set on automatic upgrade. Apparently I upgraded to Firefox 3.6 yesterday. A while back, when Firefox upgraded I could not read my hotmail email. That is also true today. Both hotmail and organissimo work fine with my IE. So my guess is that Firefox 3.6 is not ready for prime time. And as I say, the organissimo problem exists with Firefox 4 Beta 10 as well.

I've just downloaded Firefox 4 Beta 10, and I still have the same problem with it. I suppose that it is a nuisance that it has dropped down. But the problem is that there is apparently no way for it to go away. For example, when an ad appears on a website, you can make it go away by clicking the X on the upper right corner. But there is nowhere that I can see to click to make the drop down box go away.

It looks like my Firefox is the problem. I just had a problem posting on the bargain box thread. So now I have switched to IE, and so far, so good.

FWIW, I use Firefox.

Today whenever I log in, the drop down menu below my name in the upper right of the screen has dropped down, and it won't go away, even when I visit my messages. As a result, it covers up the link for "new posts since last visit". Any ideas?
