  3. Thanks for that link.... are those lossless downloads??? I can't believe my eyes, seeing Outspan 1& 2 for sale. Those are good records from the day! I have good rips but now I have to do right and buy.... Oy I added another CT for sale (Melancholy), and I will add more tomorrow, but no more FMPs. I will have some other FMPs later in the week, from a range of artists. I'm moving, hate to sell some of this but my next apartment setup ain't going to be pretty. I will obviously need to keep as much Brotzmann playing around the clock in my new digs, to set proper tone and neighborly ambience.
  4. Corrections: Double Holy House is a single, and not for sale River Bank is a single CD.
  5. East Berlin has been on Amazon Maretplace recently and I mean more than once "down" around $60-65. Not st the moment though.
  6. Includes USPS mailing domestic, waterproof bubble mailer without jewel cases. Jewel cases add $1.25 per disc, however bubble mailer only no boxes unless multiple titles ordered. Prices firm, thanks. Indent (Freedom, Phonoco Germany) $21 on Enja Air Above Mountains $10 Dark To Themselves $10 Owner of the River Bank $12 Willisau Concert (Intakt) $12
  7. Self-absorbed. Hasn't been a great show for a long time. Larry Bud, where are you now?
  8. If there were good rehearsal material from the 2nd Monk Big Band record on Columbia....
  9. Karyobin Ornette's entire Town Hall program Ran Blake on Horo, Blue Potato on Milestone Jimmy Lyons Other Afternoons plus unreleased __ Cecil Taylor Spring ot Two Blue Jays
  10. $37 each, plus $1.25 per CD for domestic USPS. Overseas exact, etc. Everything is in FINE condition. SOLD Mosaic Select: Tony Williams SOLD Mosaic Select: Dizzy Reece Joe McPhee: Nation Time complete etc. w/ Black Magic Man Roxy Music - Thrill Of It All Jefferson Airplane - Loves You Miles Davis: Big Fun and Get Up With It - (Japan SRCS 9321-2 and SRCS 9126-7, oversize double jewel cases) Absolute Funk 1, 2 and 3 (in 3 jewel cases) Funk Drops 1, 2, and 3 (in 3 jewel cases) paypal only, due on confirmation
  11. Nation Time sounds fine and clear as a mid fi field recording, it's the best sounding disc in the set and quite enjoyable. Unfortunately I'd say Black Magic Man is the weakest audio-wise, significant fall-off from Nation Time, high frequencies are not there.
  12. Joe McPhee labors of love continue with Corbett Dempsey's nice 4 CD Complete Recordings. Be warned though almost no high fidelity sound here. I'm toughing out low/mid-fi Black Magic Man right now... hell it's no big deal I'm glad to have this specifically on disc finally. I enjoyed the printed interview too.
  13. I've often wondered if there could be any worthy rehearsal material from Monk - Big Band and Quartet. Regardless, I would not mind having Jonathan and company take on the existing CD reissue as a sonic upgrade project. Anybody for some hi-res on this one?
  14. Don't know it, but I like the Garbarek titles I have from that era, so I would buy it. How about some unreleased Jimmy Lyons (e.g. a legit Other Afternoons) or CTU performances for reissue? Complete Ornette Coleman w/ Izenson solo at Town Hall? Thanks Jonathan.
  15. Sometimes you get lucky. Freakish coincidence, but managed to avoid over-buying this particular stretch of MD. My musical enjoyment these days, sad to say, is low cool -- iPhoned by wire to computer speakers, a clock radio, a bluetooth POS. So mono is cool too. I love the Dylan set, so I will look forward to this. Looks like few/none of the bonus tracks that were on the individual enhanced releases will be included.
  16. I got ~$900 for mine a about a year ago on Discogs. It was unopened, w/ inscription and serial number.
  17. Thanks so much JLH. I love it, I have enjoyed this record for about 15 years, I am looking forward to more. To Mssrs. Corbett, Nessa, and other best-in-class original and reissue producers on this board, thanks a ton. I regard these as gifts of art from an amazing heritage. Cheers!
  18. Sending a PM for two Schlippenbachs: would like Compression and Combustion, thanks
  19. I'm so psyched to hear these Flying Dutchman records redone. I am listening to my vinyl rip of Self Determination music this morning, and I have to ask, again, regarding Encounters. John Williams, can you explain your process in building an entire (to be cultural touchstone) film score around a direct, five tone quote from an unheralded though stone classic?
  20. ~200w / channel. Like new, no cosmetic defects. Purchased 11 mos. ago from Echo in Portland, where it was tested and packed (tubes removed). I never unpacked it. It's a beauty, with (very striking) remote. $1350 plus shipping or Brooklyn pick-up.
  21. Updates coming this eve, love to move these Mosaic boxes for the holidays.
  22. I LOVE my DM601s, great for my eclectic tastes, paid ~$400 for a demo pair in 1998 I think. Paired with modest 75-80 watt/ch Rotel and NAD amps, mostly used in 15x15 spaces. Plenty of bass in a modest room or apartment setting. On stands and sitting close, these are still pretty special for me. Budget cabinets, however I think that's in the past for B&W, they seem to be more upmarket now. You'll know I'm desperate for cash when you see my 601s on Ebay; my Tukans fetched $400 last year, I'm glad I kept the 601s, more versatile.
  23. Could be you are hearing and suffering the molten, un-subtle signal work of Rudy Van Gelder. Try a Contemporary recording engineered by Roy DuNann.
