I sent an email to Tower Records asking why they collected sales tax in Michigan when they no longer had a store. The response was they had one in Birmingham, which I thought was closed a few years ago. Now I'm not so sure. Is it still in business? If not, can Tower keep collecting sales tax?

A problem with the Jets is that they can't run either. I don't know who their O-Line coach is but he sure didn't do a good job coaching those guys how to block. One of the poorly organized groups around, for sure. Curtis Martin looks slower than he was last year, but he sure has no room to run. The coaches get impatient with old guys quickly and I'm sure Edwards and offensive coordinator are itching to replace him with Blaylock. It sure looks like a 6-10 season for the Jets this year.

This is the main classical hall at U of M. The sound carries very well in there but I don't have enough experience to comment on the various parts of the hall.

This is my first exposure to Basie Plays Hefti, a more subtle and delicate session than the bombastic Atomic Basie. I'm going to live with this one for quite a while.
