  1. ....Carnac! Yes, Carnac, the psychic boy! For those who don't know what we're talking about: A couple months ago, he predicted that my wife would be in a car accident. She dropped him off at school and he was crying and having a fit (which he never does), and he told her not to leave him because it was dangerous. Less than a half a mile later, some kid ran into her at 40mph. She was okay thankfully. I picked my son up from school later that day and asked what he meant when he told his mommy that it was dangerous. He said that it was dangerous because a car was going to crash into the back of her car, which is exactly what happened. So... that's why Mark calls him Carnac.
  2. Here's a picture of me and my boy:
  3. I enjoyed the track, Hip Hug Her, in the movie Barfly. My favorite Booker T & the M.G.'s is the early stuff and I too prefer their originals. Alexander beat me to the punch, but I dig McLemore Ave. - I've loved that album for years. I'm really into Steve Cropper's guitar playing. I love his style.
  4. So what does the "S" in Ron S, stand for? Superman... Hey! Are you Ron Superman?
  5. Thank you Rachel! I agree, those are wonderful photographs and I'm glad I could help display them. The next update will be up in the next few days...
  6. You guys sound like me! My wife's always complaining that I don't have any "real" friends. I tell her that I have a bunch of great friends on the computer, but to her, you guys don't count. That's funny--I don't count to MY wife, either. I think my wife things this all a video game or something... I keep telling her to get on the computer and meet some people she actually likes, instead of putting up with her crummy fair-weather friends...

  8. Ah, to be a teenager in the 90s! Yeah, I was a teenager in the 80's... I missed the 70's and missed the late 90's....
  9. I'm in the same boat as you, Dan. But I still scored a 76. I thought I'd be lucky to get 50...
  10. Here are a couple of offbeat ones that I really like: The Beau Hunks - Play the Original Little Rascals Music: 50 Roy Shield Themes They released two volumes: They also did a Raymond Scott tribute album, which I have heard, but don't own. I would like to pick up a copy of this sometime.
  11. My list is too long to post... Okay... I'm lying... I'm a loser with no friends... I've said it! Actually, I've talked with SheldonM on the phone while working on his website and have exchanged a number of nice emails with some of you. The only person I've actually met is Edward. He's a fine fellow. BTW - Edward, if you're reading this, I will send you those cds...
  12. Thread "meander" is fine, and this one is interesting to some of us. I love thread meander! Half the time it's more interesting than the original thread IMO.
  13. Thank you Scott! I wasn't familiar with this site. It's bookmarked now and it looks like there's a lot of good info. :rsmile:
  14. B-) You guys are killin' me! Saddam and Gomorrah! Throw in Godzilla, R2D2, Pee Wee Herman, and Jimmy Swaggart and they'll be swingin' at ol' Bob Jones.
  15. Man... that place has got to be TENSE! Yeah, but think about all the, uh, "not technically sexual" ways that the students apparently relieve their tension.... It must be like Sodom and Gomorrah at Bob Jones University! I guess no missionary positions are available at Bob Jones. Have you ever noticed the initials for Bob Jones University are BJU? God has a great sense of humor!
  16. Man... that place has got to be TENSE!
  17. You beat me to posting this (no pun intended). This has been in the news a lot in the last few days and I think it was Bill Mahar who riffed on this on his show last weekend. It will be interesting to hear the responses of those behind such abstinance programs - which isn't to say that abstinance is a bad thing, just that it's very difficult to regulate human nature... This is so sad that it's funny... Now you have kids doing all sorts of whack things and thinking they're still virgins. Nice! I love repression... Why did God make sex so pleasurable if doesn't want anyone to have it (outside of marriage or with procreation in mind)? I'm also wondering how many teens interviewed in this study really told the truth. And speaking of Hummers.
  18. I understand your frustration. I wish I wasn't old and stupid. I'd trade you my age for your age in a second.
  19. Question: Has the ignore list been activated yet? Just curious...
  20. Speaking of Hummers, this site kills me: http://www.fuh2.com/
  21. Ah, to be a Puritan again...
