  1. As stated before, in no particular order (the food items are always subject to change depending on my *mood*) 1. Gummi worms (has to be worms, not bears) and/or Kit Kat Bites (preferably frozen). **Sheldonm: TJazz and I have almost perfected the Kit Kat experience.** 2. Ketel One or Belvedere: depends on whether mixed or on the rocks. 3. Anything Pat Metheny. If I don't have it, I know "a guy"...
  2. Yeah, I'll admit to singing along to "Eyes Without a Face"
  3. so now you're bringing up gray hair?... Someone take this shovel from me, I'm burying myself here. Sheesh, no wonder I'm single. How much do you weigh? Sorry, couldn't resist. Could it be the gray hair at 28 thing?
  4. I'll admit that I still crank the volume and drive very fast when I hear "Hair of the Dog"... I also kind of dig Billy Idol. OK, this is turning into a derivative of "Taxicab Confessions"
  5. I never got the chance to see them; always wanted to. Their music holds a lot of memories for me.
  6. so now you're bringing up gray hair?...
  7. Good God, woman. I would not admit to that in public, if I were you. It was peer pressure... Let that be a lesson to all the kids out there.
  8. OK... I know I'm being sensitive here, but don't refer to me as being part of *another generation*. As I said... I started early....
  9. Not really; they had that one song that was all over the radio that was OK. I wasn't into the 80's hair bands; they just seemed to pale when compared to the earlier stuff. Even though I loved a lot of the heavier stuff of the seventies I got my start in more progressive rock, ie Yes, ELP, early Genesis. I never was a big fan of Poison/Motley Crue/Ratt/insert the name of any other big hair band wearing eyeliner and spandex. Although, Guns and Roses.....
  10. Jesus! You do rock!!! Heaven and Hell, baby! I am a PK (preacher's kid). I think it was the requisite rebellious phase of all PK's.
  11. The pictures are tucked safely away somewhere and in the event of my death I have made *arrangements*....
  12. Yep. My little sister got no slack, and lots of torment, but then much later I gave her one of my guitars. See that! There you go. The beauty of guitar-playing big brothers. Of course I really had no choice; my other brother played the tuba.
  13. I was in diapers!! No, actually I only had moderately big hair. And I started my concert-attending career at an early age. Yup, I have that too. Mine was post Black Sabbath (with Ronnie James Dio)/Judas Priest concert .
  14. Trust me.... little sisters get no slack. Although later in life he bought me my first tube amp, so I guess it all evens out in the end.
  15. Remember I said my babysitter took me to see Aerosmith. I was in diapers...
  16. ....but Blue Oyster Cult has *cowbells*!!
  17. I guess what is "likable" about the Bottom Line is the nostalgia. But that ain't payin' the bills (and they never took credit cards !?). My favorite is still the 55 Bar. Mike Stern is there a lot....I guess I'm reliving my prepubescent nirvana of which I spoke earlier.
  18. I saw Mountain in the '80's at the recently closed Bottom Line twice. First gig: amazing. Second gig: awful. It seemed like LW had been doing drugs all day before the show. Yeah, I remember when I saw Mountain, he pretty much fumbled his way through the entire concert. By the time Mississippi Queen happened I think everyone in attendance was rather "lubricated" so it all sounded good by then. I knew the Bottom Line was having financial troubles but I didn't realize that they finally closed. That was another great place to go in NYC.
  19. My sister and I really never had that problem because we were never into each others music she liked Donovan and Joan Baez both of whom I thought were pretty pukey and I don't think she cared too much for the Stones and Yardbirds.Only in later years do we have common musical interests. My brother wasn't quite so lucky with me. I loved everything he listened to; he was a guitar player, so I was in prepubescent nirvana rifling through all of his "guitar god" albums. I remember getting blamed quite a bit for every little scratch. I actually think my other brother was sabotaging me. Life's rough being the only girl.
  20. With none other than Sammy Hagar on vocals. By virtue of Sammy's stint with Ronnie Montrose, I vote for Sammy Hagar over David Lee Roth any day. (plus he makes a very fine tequila)
  21. Love the Foghat! Saw them on a double bill with Blue Oyster Cult. I remember seeing Black Oak Arkansas, no wait... it was Mountain, in the early 80's I remember it now -- Leslie West played the whole concert sitting down, he was that huge!
  22. Wasn't that a great album! I remember sneaking it from my big brother's collection and cranking it w/the headphones on. I was *never* *ever* allowed to handle his LPs, so I had to be quite surreptitious about it.
  23. I was more of an Edgar Winter girl specifically around the time of "They Only Come Out at Night". I remember riding my bike w/my transistor radio blaring "Free Ride" and "Frankenstein" -- well, as much as an AM transistor radio could *blare*.
  24. I don't think ZZ Top was w/B-ville Station and Aerosmith at this particular concert. I probably would have remembered them. I saw ZZ Top during their "Cheap Sunglasses" tour in the early 80's. Now *that* was fun.
