  1. "A man is only as old as the woman he feels."
  2. Boy, they sure Handel'd that situation!
  3. Weren' you really big into video games back in the day? hmmmm....
  4. B3-er, were you freaked out in your dream when you realized you were pregnant? or did it seem normal? Also, did you awaken in a cold sweat thinking that you might have had to give birth. I don't think most men could do it.
  5. The *airplane-flying-in-parking-garage* theme almost sounds like something that could written for the TV show "Alias". I agree that most of my nightmares as an adult involve situations that are extremely harrowing yet entirely plausible, which is what makes them terrifying. I had the *back-in-school* dream again last night... only this time instead of forgetting where my locker is, I forgot to log off the computer and all my personal stuff suddenly became this huge Power Point presentation for the entire student body. The majority of the dream involved me trying to make my way back to the room where I was logged on and the scenarios that prevented me from getting there. I woke up exhausted.
  6. Oops, sorry; I mean the ones where I'm flying (like a bird). Or I've dreamt that suddenly I have the ability to fly a plane. I've never had a dream like yours.
  7. I have a recurring dream similar to that. One scenario is that I'm actually back in high school; it's time for finals, and I realize that I've *forgotten* to take one particular course (usually math). Obvious stress ensues yada yada. Another school-related dream is that I cannot find my locker or remember the combination to the lock and the *late bell* is about to ring, and I just keep searching down these circuitous halls always ending up where I started. Then there's the one where I move away and forget to take my dog and don't realize it until about a year later. That one is especially vivid and bothersome. The flying dreams are particularly fun.
  8. Tonight it's the Jazz Kitchen for the start of their 10 year anniversary celebration. The line-up is The Hampton Sisters and the Slide Hampton Quintet. Tomorrow, Sunday, and Monday are just for chillin'. I'm house- and cat-sitting, and my view is of endless woods and deer in addition to a killer sound system. We don't have to change our clocks, so I won't be missing that hour or trying to find every clock in two houses to change.... *that* would be a drag. Happy Weekend everybody! EDIT: I'll miss the Pacers game so Sports Center will be mandatory.
  9. As stated before, in no particular order (the food items are always subject to change depending on my *mood*) 1. Gummi worms (has to be worms, not bears) and/or Kit Kat Bites (preferably frozen). **Sheldonm: TJazz and I have almost perfected the Kit Kat experience.** 2. Ketel One or Belvedere: depends on whether mixed or on the rocks. 3. Anything Pat Metheny. If I don't have it, I know "a guy"...
  10. Yeah, I'll admit to singing along to "Eyes Without a Face"
  11. so now you're bringing up gray hair?... Someone take this shovel from me, I'm burying myself here. Sheesh, no wonder I'm single. How much do you weigh? Sorry, couldn't resist. Could it be the gray hair at 28 thing?
  12. I'll admit that I still crank the volume and drive very fast when I hear "Hair of the Dog"... I also kind of dig Billy Idol. OK, this is turning into a derivative of "Taxicab Confessions"
  13. I never got the chance to see them; always wanted to. Their music holds a lot of memories for me.
  14. so now you're bringing up gray hair?...
  15. Good God, woman. I would not admit to that in public, if I were you. It was peer pressure... Let that be a lesson to all the kids out there.
  16. OK... I know I'm being sensitive here, but don't refer to me as being part of *another generation*. As I said... I started early....
  17. Not really; they had that one song that was all over the radio that was OK. I wasn't into the 80's hair bands; they just seemed to pale when compared to the earlier stuff. Even though I loved a lot of the heavier stuff of the seventies I got my start in more progressive rock, ie Yes, ELP, early Genesis. I never was a big fan of Poison/Motley Crue/Ratt/insert the name of any other big hair band wearing eyeliner and spandex. Although, Guns and Roses.....
  18. Jesus! You do rock!!! Heaven and Hell, baby! I am a PK (preacher's kid). I think it was the requisite rebellious phase of all PK's.
  19. The pictures are tucked safely away somewhere and in the event of my death I have made *arrangements*....
  20. Yep. My little sister got no slack, and lots of torment, but then much later I gave her one of my guitars. See that! There you go. The beauty of guitar-playing big brothers. Of course I really had no choice; my other brother played the tuba.
  21. I was in diapers!! No, actually I only had moderately big hair. And I started my concert-attending career at an early age. Yup, I have that too. Mine was post Black Sabbath (with Ronnie James Dio)/Judas Priest concert .
  22. Trust me.... little sisters get no slack. Although later in life he bought me my first tube amp, so I guess it all evens out in the end.
  23. Remember I said my babysitter took me to see Aerosmith. I was in diapers...
