I'm quite familiar with Tom Harrell's recordings as a leader and I find this one as one of his best. Harrell leads here a big band which sounds like they have been playing together for years, but in fact they put together for just this session. Xavier Davis, who's sitting at the pianist chair, is doing an amazing job. If you like the music and playing of Tom Harrell, dont miss this one.

It's out of print, and used copies are mighty expensive. Try to contact Studio 52. I orederd it from this online store after it went oop for a reasonable price.

I called Mosaic yesterday. We have to wait another two weeks untill this set will be available. Just as well, I suppose. I called Mosaic again and got the same answer: we'll have to wait another 1-2 weeks. Eventually, the set is on his way to Israel.
