  1. Thank you Flurin and John. The trio format recordings look very interesting.
  2. IMHO, every note Tapscott ever recorded, worth buying.
  3. So far, only two of his recordings in my collection: Disorder at the Border: The Music of Coleman Hawkins and Plays Monk. I find both of them very enjoyable. What else do you recommend?
  4. The Jazztet is one of my all time favorite small groups. I have a special weakness to Benny Golson compositions and arrangements. The more I listen to this set, the more I love it.
  5. Happy Birthday !!!
  6. All the best, Ray!!!
  7. His Inside Chicago series is also recommended (Vol 1-4). Recorded during the 90's.
  8. Everything Paul Bley recorded for SteepleChase worth listening, but if you are talking about the best of the best, I think this one meets your requirements. Caravan Suite is another favorite.
  9. I saw Uri Caine in Tel-Aviv a few weeks ago. He played with Don Byron and I really enjoyed it. So far I got only one Caine's CD in my collection: Solitaire, which is an amazing solo session, but one CD is definitely not enough and I plan to work on it. I'll remember your recommendations, ghost.
  10. I was watching earlier today how our Shahar Peer won Slovenia's Katarina Srebotnik. Shahar is an amazing player but now Kuznetsova is waiting for her and it's not going to be easy.
  11. Beaux Art Trio.
  12. I cant blame you for that.
  13. Thanks Rom. Uchida sounds great.
  14. I called Mosaic yesterday. We have to wait another two weeks untill this set will be available. Just as well, I suppose. I called Mosaic again and got the same answer: we'll have to wait another 1-2 weeks.
  15. I prefer modern piano over fortepiano. Chuck, what about a link???
  16. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club was released exactly 40 years ago. What an innovative album was it!!!
  17. Good luck Flurin!
  18. I would like to buy a set with the complete piano sonatas of Mozart. Who is your recommended performer??? Daniel Barenboim? Glenn Gould? Any other pianist???
  19. Two of my favorites.
  20. Another one added: Toshiko Akiyoshi. I'm ready also to trade.
  21. PM sent re M. Crispell.
