  1. Mark Harvey Quartet - In Concert - (Bush, US)
  2. ^ Indeed. Now, Stomu Yamash'ta & The New Herd - Metempsychosis - (Columbia, JP)
  3. Lee Konitz & Hans Koller - Plays / New Jazz Stars - (Vogue, JP) Nice split LP with a Konitz session rec. in Paris and Koller/Mangelsdorff/Hipp et al in Baden-Baden.
  4. FWIW, the $7,000 copy of Lee Morgan Indeed was not paid for and the item was relisted, ending at I believe a much lower price - I think around $2,500 (which is closer to the going rate for a clean first pressing).
  5. I bet... just have a 70s US blue label stereo pressing. It sounds okay but the music deserves a bit more "oomph" that I know is in there.
  6. Congrats! Took a day off from the day gig (needed) and now spinning: Jackie McLean - Tippin' the Scales - (BN King Japan orig)
  7. Lovely session. I have a UK pressing but it does have this jacket. Now: Music of Ethiopia - (Seven Seas, JP)
  8. FB link isn't working for me either and I'm definitely on Facebook.
  9. can't grab everything, sadly. I'm not sure what qualifies as crazy expensive - most of the Togashi LPs I've pulled were less than $40, but even $40 is far from peanuts for an LP in the grand scheme of things. That Waldron solo on Philips is excellent (as are most if not all Waldron LPs).

  11. Great looking cover image. I'm sure the music is sublime.
  12. kinda what I figured... thanks!
  13. How's his Horo LP?
  14. Dubravko Detoni - Jugoslav New Music - (Philips, 21e Prospective silver series, FR) would like to get a couple of his Jugoton LPs as they look quite intense... this one will do nicely for now.
  15. Steve Lacy/Yuji Takahashi/Takehisa Kosugi - Distant Voices - (Columbia, JP)
  16. Ah, Thomas Cremer - I know him from Alfred Harth's work. Looks like an interesting record (Degen is certainly an underrated pianist).
  17. ah, too bad. Excellent player.
  18. Have heard a lot of the masters and was there - pretty f'in stupendous. By the time I write it up - unlike Allen, I work slowly these days - he'll already be onto the next boxed set.
  19. Nice piece - I'm better acquainted with his earlier work. Some years ago what was then called All About Jazz New York did a piece on him that I thought was good. Maybe Andrey Henkin was the interviewer?
  20. It's not that good in my opinion. Do you need a copy?
  21. Excellent set. Now: Amon Düül II - Yeti - (Liberty UK)
  22. I think it was in 2005. Would have been rad to see him in the early '90s or even before that! Now: Come - Don't Ask, Don't Tell - (Beggars' Banquet UK orig)
  23. probably better to stay put.
  24. I feel like the earlier the better, but admittedly don't know their full discog all that well.
  25. Saw him once and it was a trip. RIP.
