  1. Good deal on Tokyo Bound. That's a killer record.
  2. Wooley and Vandermark (another of your faves, yuk yuk) have a duo project that does just that. It's really nice in my opinion.
  3. We talk about writing on here all the time. Isn't that discerning discussion of the 'hype' given over to almost any artist?
  4. Still need an LP copy of this. Wonderful session.
  5. yeah, that's a nice date.
  6. Arbete och Fritid - Arbete och Fritid - (MNW)
  7. François Tusques - Intercommunal Free Dance Music Orchestra v. 4: Hommage a Jo Maka - (Vendemiaire)
  8. Haven't spun that Lacy in a while but remember liking it a lot.
  9. Masters of Unorthodox Jazz - Overground - (Barabbas, recent seemingly-authorized reissue) rugged Austrian free music session - the privately-pressed original is obscenely rare.
  10. The Esquire pressing of this looks super sexy. Always loved the artwork and the session, uneven as it might be in spots, still holds for me.
  11. Couldn't resist getting one of those some years ago even though I already had the regular Incus pressing. Picked up one with an Alan Davie print.
  12. Ha, that reminds me of some of the pieces in An Anthology, which I was just going through the other night. Every problem in this community is likely a fwp. Sigh.
  13. yeah, but how does one know "brilliant" if there isn't any "decent/solid" to compare it to?
  14. Electrum is okay - wouldn't throw down a lot of money on it but it's a decent, not-uninteresting record.
  15. Samara Lubelski - The Fleeting Skies - (De Stijl, US)
  16. yup. Now: Phil Pearlman - The Beat of the Earth - (Artistic Statement, new reissue/boot)
  17. that Mobley is obliterated. Did you buy it?
  18. ah, ok. So the Jasmines are needle-drops as well?
  19. Wow, thanks - don't think I've ever seen this before.
  20. I haven't spun this one in ages. Need to dig it out again!
  21. It is a palette cleanser and hey, you wouldn't be the first to notice a connection between Bailey and Fahey (I'd say Henry Kaiser found it in the 1970s).
