  1. One night in Bangkok makes a hard man humble... Well, he may have been experimenting with this method for years and it didn't work out in his favor this time. According to "sexperts," one should ALWAYS have a safety person nearby when using this method in case something goes wrong.
  2. Hans Dulfer Kwartet - Jazz in Paradiso - (Heavy Soul) 1968-69, w/ Bennink, Van Manen, Altena.
  3. Thanks, would love to hear that Hal Stein.
  4. Yeah, really upsetting news. RIP and thank you, Mr. Carradine. (I accidentally posted a new topic on this as well, sorry porcy.)
  5. Hmm, seem to have missed out on that one...
  6. After my girlfriend got through her Human League jag, it was: Woods/Quill/Shihab/Stein - Four Altos - (Prestige, OJC pressing) picked up for $5 in the shrink after work.
  7. "The Complete Palm Recordings of Jef Gilson"
  8. I would wager that, like the first edition of the New Acoustic Swing Duo and the Jihad titles, this will become an eBay hands-changer.
  9. Portal is usually interesting & a hell of a cool guy, so this could be worth picking up. Then again, those "Minneapolis" CDs made my head hurt.
  10. Yeah, I've been having second thoughts... Chuck, how do the new Bowie/Mitchell/Art Ensemble reissues compare? Much of a difference, or would you say the box is fine enough? (I'm sure it is, actually! But still...) I'd be happy to have it in all forms, myself. But then I really like the early AEC period a lot. Ayers' point about the notes is good, too (though I never really had a problem w/ the original note to my recollection).
  11. I spoke with a label who had wanted to do something with Milford about reissuing those records - don't think it's gonna happen in the foreseeable future. From what I understand, he's not particularly interested in seeing any of the IPS or SRP material reissued.
  12. The hand-painted Pullen-Graves? The first time I saw it on eBay (2002?) it was about $1,200 and I haven't seen it end cheaper than that since. $400 for the second, gold-cover edition, sure... edit: quick check of Popsike and $1,500 is the lowest with a second edition just shy of a grand... I have Nommo and can live with that.
  13. Why don't you send the information to AAJ.com? They have a news section and even if it's something local, there's no harm in trying to push it.
  14. I was just listening to Henry on Sonny Meets Hawk! the other day and his playing was phenomenal. Sometimes it takes a reminder. Digging on the new trio w/ Paul Dunmall & Andrew Cyrille, though I have to admit the crowd noise on the Porter release is a little overwhelming... must've been a hell of a gig! Hope all goes well at Vision for those in attendance and those lucky enough to perform.
  15. Can't wait for these to be out. And hey, 24-bit & original artwork is fine by me (even though I have the box and the LPs).
  16. Yeah, I was going through trying to make a little room, but that one's just too weird to sell!
  17. Carla Bley - European Tour 1977 - (Watt)
  18. Have a Buffalo and am happy with it, though I don't run my joint off of it either.
  19. Relyles, I hope you 'get down' every day!
  20. Don't tell me about it.. I feel you there. I lucked out big time with my copy price-wise but have more than made up for it since!
  21. Classic. Good to hear you got this'n.
  22. Just PM Sady and do it off-board if you like.
