I wonder if it was at this particular gig (for sure it was at Ronnies and in the mid-60s) when Rollins opened up his set coming out of the taxi door blasting away on the tenor then walking through the club entrance to the bandstand and into perfect sync. with the band. I've seen a clip on British TV of this very performance but it was many years back. Don't know if that clip still exists.

  22. That one's SABA ST-15136 on the LP ('Out of the Background'). Just this afternoon have been playing SABA ST-15137 'Flirt and Dream - Francy Boland In The Background' He moved pretty quickly out and back in to the background !
