  1. I wrote hundreds of compositions based on total silence. Never found a producer. And they were surely better then all the BS I posted here.
  2. In retrospect, it's hard to believe there was a time when Phil Collins could have been involved in such a cool record.
  3. The Band - Rock Of Ages - Capitol
  4. Same here
  5. With the Ornettes I have given up on the vinyl and go for the 'Beauty Is A Rare Thing' CD set. Heresy, I know.. I've got it and the Mingus's Atlantics, obvioulsy well hidden inside the vinyls, my analog religion is inflexible, for one cd they cut one ear off, for a cd box set....
  6. Ornette Coleman - On Tenor - Atlantic, stereo I need a mono pressing, I hate the mix of these stereo's Atlantic.
  7. At one of their sales I bought Thad Jones, the cover of "The Magnificient", and Thelonious Monk at piano. Nice prints.
  8. I have a collection, not as big and exaustive like the guy, but I still do care of it. Abour leaving at some institution the probability that all will finished rotten in some obscure basement is really high. Watching at tv a documentary about old Egypt, I decided I will do like a Pharoah, I'll be buried with my stereo, my records, my motorbike, some bottles of good wine and one habana cigars box. One never knows what you'll need in the other life.
  9. Baba O'reily - The Who. Out here in the fields I fight for my meals I get my back into my living. I don't need to fight To prove I'm right I don't need to be forgiven. yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Don't cry Don't raise your eye It's only teenage wasteland Sally, take my hand We'll travel south cross land Put out the fire And don't look past my shoulder. The exodus is here The happy ones are near Let's get together Before we get much older. Teenage wasteland It's only teenage wasteland. Teenage wasteland Oh, yeah Teenage wasteland They're all wasted!
  10. Touching story Chuck. Thanks for sharing it.
  11. The Who - Who's Next? - Track original pressing.
  12. Thanks! I'll follow Stefan's advise. I'll keep them.
  13. I have several BN bought used with plain white paper inner sleeves, that I replaced with anti-static ones. I am wondering if I can throw the old inner sleeves away, assuming that they aren't original. In other words: does anybody know wich are the corresponding inners of various labels, Lex, , 47 west, NY, Liberty, ecc?
  14. Joe Henderson - Mode For Joe - BN, stereo NY.
  15. The attempt of a true Vegan pizza sounds to me like a non alcoholic single malt scotch: pure scottish water aged in a cask.
  16. Well, I suppose I am out of the thread. When you visit Italy, just give me a call.
  17. Ooops! It's midnight in this time zone, I have to spin some Anthony Braxton's
  18. I have: one neighbourg playing electric bass, one drummer one block from me, and a musical instrument shop around the corner. Plus an Irish pub who has some gigs, now and then. My other neighbours are: a community of Bangla Desh' illegal immigrants, nice music and inviting curry's flavour, (honestly, the nicest neighbours I had in my life) and a deaf lady, 95 y/o, from Morocco, once she was a famous dancer. Overall I am the worst one: nobody's other then me spins Nessa's records at two a.m.
  19. I have to agree, though I don't have any hi-rez player. And on classical music you have more new realeses on new formats. Usually even normal cds sound good on classical new recordings. On the other hand you can buy NM used classical vinyl for ridicolous prices, a part few rare "Wide Band" Deccas. I bought some big box sets for less then 1 euro per record. Not bad.
  20. Traffic - John Barleycorn Must Die - Island, UK "Pink I" pressing
  21. Allen, ship the cd to me, since I usually have some comprension's problems with english, Zappa and Beefheart included, it's granted you'd never get a "vastly inferior lyricists" from here.
  22. ??? With Paypal? No shipping charge on my donation.
  23. Yeah, Klezmatics. I did the right choice. Great gig! BTW I forgot to mention in my first post that I could choose theorically The Rolling Stones too, they played at Olimpic Stadium this evening, but the concert was sold three month ago, so... Anyway, Gato Barbieri, Klezmatics and The Rolling Stones in the same evening, the benefit of living in the polluted and overcrowded capital.
