This award is usually "forwards" oriented, I think that some other players should be in it. A part the greatest italian player of modern era, Roberto Baggio, ( a center forward, simply a genius IMHO) I would add Franco Baresi and Paolo Maldini, two defenders who made the AC MIlan of Gullit and Van Basten one of the all time strongest team. IMHO of course.
