  1. I tend to match beer and places, so I drinked Sol or Corona in Mexico, Kingfisher in India, Mandaley in Burma, ecc. There are some exceptions, like the irish pub just around the corner...
  2. Mingus Plays Piano IMPULSE!, mono. A lot of ideas of 'Black Saint' in here ...and I may be wrong, but Mingus knew very well the Satie piano works...
  3. The Liberty vinyl of that one is absolutely outstanding. ← Agreed!
  4. I am a HUGE Dylan listener right now. Sundazed realeased a great sounding reissues of his early records from mono original master tapes at good price, reccomended...and I won a sealed first pressing of 'Desire' on ebay at ten bucks some times ago. Mr. Zimmerman rules, he is one of these human beings like Miles or Trane, blessed by God, Allah or Buddah or whatever you call HIM
  5. ...and a big wallet!
  6. From my listening experience I learned that for audio engineers is easier to build good sounding high powered amps than good sounding efficient speakers, but I never listening this system...
  7. The loudspeakers are from AvantGarde, very efficent horn speakers, with active subwoofers, for triode tube amp. http://avantgarde-usa.com/trio.html
  8. Actually it's a five years global warranty.
  9. I already hooked my system. At Linn factory in Scotland they checked it out, I think they would have advise me that all this mess was caused by a bad signal into the amp. From the tech sheet they included I read they replaced the power supply too, so I think this was the problem. I think that a bad signal from pre amp should have blow the power amp devices up and save the power supply and woofer, considering that my loudspeakers have some sort of protection between crossover and woofer. The protections blew up like the woofer, so I think that the low level signal from pre amp could't do that. Anyway I strongly hope you're wrong on this issue!
  10. Well, some Bird's and Trane's solos are very close to orgasm.
  11. I always found Linn and Naim two reliable brands, in term of tech support and customer care. Solid companies, a customer can count on them in the stream of time. I tend to avoid the 'last trend' audio smugglers who disappears after a couple of years of great reviews on High End journals.
  12. ...and MILES DAVIS 'Collectors Items', Prestige NY address
  13. Grant Green 'Live at the lighthouse'. Funky stuff!!
  14. It's a Klimax mono amp. Linn has a great customer service, for instance if you replace and old Linn cartridge they give you a discount of 30% on a new one.
  15. At last I had my amp back from Linn. The problem was the solid state power amp, the tech sheet says "blew up", not a specialistic term, but it depicts the situation. Anyway my tube pre amp is innocent! BTW Linn will refund me the cost of loudspeaker repair. Great customer service
  16. You asked for it! http://www.psiberaudio.com/iPod_3.htm
  17. Yeah, it looks that way to me as well. But don't get me started on car audio; why people would spend major buckage for a stereo that's placed in such a noisy environment is beyond me anyway... ← .... but if you live in Alaska, a tube amp under your seat, is a great idea.
  18. I had a lot of fun searching on satellite's maps. Take a Tour! http://maps.google.com
  19. Nice, but what about the followin quotes from Leone's movies? From 'A fistful of dollars' Joe: When a man's got money in his pocket he begins to appreciate peace. Joe: The heart, Ramone. Don't forget the heart. Aim for the heart, or you'll never stop me. From 'Once Upon a Time in the West' Morton: Not bad. Congratulations. Tell me, was it necessary that you kill all of them? I only told you to scare them. Frank: People scare better when they're dying. Frank: How can you trust a man who wears both a belt and suspenders? The man can't even trust his own pants. Harmonica: The reward for this man is 5000 dollars, is that right? Cheyenne: Judas was content for 4970 dollars less. Harmonica: There were no dollars in them days. Cheyenne: But sons of bitches... yeah. Harmonica: Did you bring a horse for me? Snaky: Well... looks like we're... [snickers] Snaky: ...looks like we're shy one horse. Harmonica: You brought two too many. Harmonica: I saw three of these dusters a short time ago, they were waiting for a train. Inside the dusters, there were three men. Cheyenne: So? Harmonica: Inside the men, there were three bullets. Cheyenne: You know, Jill, you remind me of my mother. She was the biggest whore in Alameda and the finest woman that ever lived. Whoever my father was, for an hour or for a month - he must have been a happy man. Harmonica: So, you found out you're not a businessman after all. Frank: Just a man. Harmonica: An ancient race. Other Mortons will be along, and they'll kill it off. From 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly': Tuco: I like big fat men like you. When they fall they make more noise. Man With No Name: You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend: Those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig. Man With No Name: Take off your gun and put on your pants.
  20. I work (seated) on editing workstation all day, and I am a motorbiker (around 10000 miles per year), so I suffered of back pain. My advise, after a Doctor, is GYM or POOL at least two times per week. Find a good trainer and move your ass, it works for me.
  21. I presume you already knew it, but here you could find all the quote you need. http://us.imdb.com/ And about memorable quotes nobody can beat Sergio Leone's western movies, a part 'Well, nobody's perfect' in 'Some like it hot'
  22. Interesting information. How do you know when a BN, or any RVG, mono is folded down?
  23. Some questions: Are non americans allowed to vote? Were Sitting Bull, Cochise and Geronimo "americans"? May I vote for a woman?
  24. Yeah, listening to "Paranoid" while looking at 'swirl' logo spinning is good....
  25. Correct, the only Vertigo's records I have in my collection are the early lp of BLACK SABBATH!
