Too many, BUT agree about Stanko, no sloppy records AFIK, I would add Charles Lloyd, Paul Motian and Dave Holland in the same league. Trovesi and Coscia strong records too. Both records of Jarrett and Haden are excellent IMMV.

I sold on discogs for a while and was ok until they forced sellers to adopt a buy it now policy. I spent several time in order to fulfill this requirement but the interface is badly designed so I quitted. Anyway lots of sellers did it so maybe I am not smart enough though there were lots of complaints about the mandatory shipping policy, so I wasn’t alone.

Don’t think it may damage recent reissue. The weight is on average and the stylus is a spherical one, anyway I didn’t notice any problems. It might be that some esoteric mono cartridge damages stereo records but I haven’t notice about it.

BTW it seems to me that even the more recent mono reissues sounds better with my mono cartridge, and my mono is less expensive by far then stereo. And sometimes I play stereo LPs with mono and it’s fun.

Yes and it tracks better then a stereo. BTW I have a two arms TT, so I saved space, at a high price.

I strongly disagree, there is no ONE WAY to correctly design amplifiers, class A, class A/B, mosfets, vaccum tubes, transistors, ecc. The same performance on test bench doesn't implicate they sound the same. In order to "sound" they have to be hooked with speakers, preamplifier and one source. Sound is the result of an interaction. I quote what I wrote in another thread: "I think hifi is a system, like a car, that includes the room where it sounds. Consider one element alone would be like consider only engine or brakes or suspension to judge a car. Testing a single element is okay but it will not tell you exactly how it will sounds in your room hooked with your amp, speakers,etc. likewise the results of an engine on test bench will not tell you how it will works a car drives by you on a common road. I was lucky enough to test single gears in my system and often results surprised me."

I jumped on motorbike in my teenagerhood and I got off this year, after 42 years, because I was tyred of traffic, driver's texting, rain, cold, burning summer and the overwhelming speed cameras all over the country, to make a long story short, I am getting older and I couldn't get this s*** anymore. I spent most of my holidays on bike's trips. Always owned BMWs, though I rode lots of different bikes. In term of safety, today's bikes are a huge improvement, ABS, ETC, etc., so I wouldn't suggest to a newbie an old restored bike. For the same safety reason, I wouldn't suggest a scooter, bikes have frames, scooters, few exceptions, don't, so a motorbike is more neutral and driveable, though scooters are better in term of weather protections for city commuting.
