  1. There was a belief back then, definitely wrong, that uglier the audio gear was, better it sounded. Anyway with grill removed and the tubes lighted on it was really romantic
  2. I had one of this and a pair of Martin Logan electrostatic, loved the sound and hated the tube failing
  3. I am with Dimitry on this one, had tubed preamps, power amps, integrated amps, even a tubed phono preamp. For me it was a lot of fun and money consuming, now I am stick with SS stuff, throwin money in exotic cartridges
  4. 360 stereo pressing but mono recording I think.
  5. IMMV most of the Atlantic of that time suffer of bad stereo separation.
  6. It's 40,14 euros free shipping in stock at amazon right now.
  7. I admit there are worst LT serie covers than this one.
  8. It appears that some sellers preordered the record so the delivery was delayed, no offense.
  9. Not really: https://www.discogs.com/it/Wayne-Shorter-Etcetera/release/13191716
  10. Etcetera is tempting, for sure it will have a better cover then the LT serie.
  11. Got a mono and a stereo pressing of this one, checkin them out. BTW I love all the AMY's output.
  12. Yeah, some BN are like wines, if you bought a case of Chateau Lafite Rotschild before the first WW you were lucky, like the caterer that traded Van Gogh paintings for lunches. Anyway it's part of the fun
  13. BN stock exchange never sleeps... BTW never found a mono BLUE TRAIN at human price
  14. This rises my benevolent envy.
  15. Really? I don't appreciate the stereo separation of Atlantic too much.
  16. I have this one and I play it with the mono button on!
  17. About wristwatch I think that nowadays a watch is like a jewel: its function is useless. You look at the time on your cell phones, on your car dashboard, on your computer and on the countless monitors you find in subway, shops etc.. A watch should be nice, better gorgeous.
  18. I think one can follow one genre, classical music or jazz, but if one likes "music" in its entirety, nowadays should have a AI drone that makes the work for him.
  19. Since I am not a Navy Seal, I'll stick with my 30 year old Omega Speedmaster and my NY mono pressings...
  20. I wish they reissued as 33rpm, though 45rpm is better sounding I am definitely a conservative about records.
  21. In my brief experience of seller, I tend to think that new vinyl box sets sell more then cd, I mean I sold much more vinyls then cd box sets, I basically sold all my 45rpm BN reissues in three months, so it appears that high quality vinyl BN reissues are still hot in the market. Obviously the Mosaic crew has a view better then mine, considering they staying in the market for so long.
  22. I guess I have most of this stuff in records. Maybe I am alone on this but in the last years I let go the completist attitude I had before. I sold and selling most of the cd box sets that I have in records, I find tiresome go through the alt takes of the same tracks. Overall I will die without owning all the breaths of Mobley or Trane, I tend to think at collectibiles like an answer to the fear of death. I understand collectors and respect them, throughout history they have save treasures of mankind, but for me I just want to enjoy the music, now and then I buy some used records, but most I sit on sofa listening at my collection, not searching new or old stuff, in my free time I mean. I guess it's the only possible ad for stuff endlessly reissued
