  1. I didn't know it existed!
  2. I am not a huge fan of Criss, but this one is a solid bop record and Barney Kessel is a plus
  3. Led Zeppelin 2, UK first pressing, "plum label" Atlantic.
  4. https://www.discogs.com/it/seller/porcy62/profile Thanks!
  5. Blue Mitchell: Complete Blue Note Session (1963-1967) 4cds Cds and Booklet NM, box has spine teared off, (a Mosaic honourable tradition IMO), that could be repaired with tape, so VG. 80 euros plus shipping.
  6. I admit that if I'd have most of Columbia originals, I would be tempted to sell my copy.
  7. The Magnificent Thad Jones, Music Matters 45 reissue. One of the greatest jazz picture ever, IMo.
  8. Bullshot, handmade by me with Magnificent Thad Jones
  9. I read all his Maigret's novels and I loved them. A publishing house bought the copyrights of his works for Italy just before he died, they are publishing all his works in a very nice edition. It's always a pleasure holding in hand a nice book instead of a cheap paperback.
  10. At this very moment I am in a George Simenon mood, reading his "hard novel's" as he referred to his non Maigret novels.
  11. Sorry to hear this, Chuck.
  12. Yes, though I didn't see a concert of him since long time.
  13. He seldom play in Italy, the jazz scene here is quite depressing...
  14. He is a nice guy, he was the presenter of a music broadcast on national broadcasting company (RAI) in the late '80s that host live gigs of James Brown, Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Chet Baker Toots Thielemans, Rufus Thomas and others. Often he joined the band.
  15. Hoffmanites... I stay with old pressings on rock only for sentimental reason, I bought them then, I seldom listen to them now. Like an old jacket you're fond of.
  16. Guess it's time for some Vodka Martini, olives and Jackie McLean's
  17. Thanks, but I got some Classic Records'and Steve Hoffman's reissues I presume you are referring to original pressing, don't you?
  18. I am planning to list some classic rock LP's, but I am not in the mood for listen to Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple...
  19. I am not sure but I started to collect "I grandi del Jazz" series, it was sold in newspaper kiosks and was really cheap, one third of LP normal price. It had stuff from Atlantic, Verve, ecc, among them I remember well Olè Coltrane. And then there were Prestige twoofers, The Davis Quintet, Monk, etc.. They were cheap and available in all record stores. In the late seventies it wasn't easy to find jazz records in small town in Italy.
  20. I can't drink spirits without smoking, bad habits.
