  1. Certainly it's not a true archival grade system. So far I loaded only my cds and I had some problems to identify some records, expecially the most widely repressed, so I picked up the one as close as possible, I tried to add my editions, but gave up after a couple of tries, I mean what is the purpose of a new edition of U2's Pop cd that is pratically identical to another one a part that is "pressed in Holland" instead of "EU", medium value 1,67 euros? What I realized until now is that I payed big bucks for those damn small pieces of plastic and most of them are valueless. Fortunately things reversed with the vinyl box set of Mosaic. I am going to load single LPs in the future.
  2. Yeah, the First Name issue is pretty common in most parts on the web.
  3. I started to sell on Discogs some time ago. Since lately I have lots of free time, unfortunately, I started to use the "collection" option to organize my stuff. Any experience on it?
  4. Does it includes all the fighting post in the now dead political thread?
  5. I like them till The Wall, but I despise Waters for his views, fortunately I am italian so I can easily neglet most of the lyrics and listen to sound.
  6. I got it, I listened to it on super audiophile system and I don't like this kind of recordings, what audiophile recording does better is with classical ensemble, IMO. BTW I like the music on it
  7. As the title said I have a copy of: THE BLUE NOTE LABEL A Discography, Revised and Expanded Michael Cuscuna and Michel Ruppli. 2001 edition, hard cover. The book is NM, a part the obvious upper edge gray by dust. 35 euros plus shipping
  8. My experience with DIY (or very cheap ones) cleaning systems in general (never tested this one) is negative because of awkardness: drying records in a dishes shelve, etc.. The point is that after a while you quit. Let's put in this way: how many times would you mow your lawn with a crappy, noisy, time consuming mower?
  9. I am glad of it, I confess my secret pleasure: I love movies about submarines.
  10. Never saw it before, with soundtrack of John Lewis, quite a solid noir movie. Not surprisingly the liberal Robert Ryan, with his grim face, played a racist villain, he spent some time after the realease to discuss with press "the problems of an actor like me playing the kind of character that in real life he finds totally despicable."
  11. That "non-vinyl" put me out of the thread, I don't have non-vinyl rock stuff, AFIK.
  12. I think I'll pass a saturday afternoon listen to Mozart's Don Giovanni, my dad's one. VINYL MONO
  13. An unfairly overlooked set (at least by me)
  14. One of my sweet weak point.
  15. That is the reason I sold and I am selling most of the CD box sets "The Complete recording of", overall I have quite happy life without 4 alternate takes of Romance Without Finance
  16. I have the box set and I admit I never listen to it because of the endless aternate takes, I rather go for the cd of the master takes.
  17. Sly & the Family Stone: There's a Riot Goin' On. I guess TAFKAP spent several time with this one in his youth.
  18. My copy says only "John" that I suspect was the former owner.
