  1. Ooops. that's right, Dexter Gordon is a single cd, I corrected the price. Thanks.
  2. UP REDUCED PRICE!!!
  3. I got it too, but I didn't compare, I was captured by the music, so I didn't pay any attention at mastering and all the related bs.
  4. Gracham Moncur III - Evolution - BN, Music Matters reissue. When I relisten to records like this one, I understand why I fell in love with jazz ages ago.
  5. What I found totally crazy and absurd, among non professional athlets, is that in my view physical exercize goes along with health. I can't believe one taking harmful drugs for performance, I mean the real satisfaction is that I can do something, a marathon, a good time, even lifting 100 kgs on the bench, with myself, hard work and practice.
  6. Another one bite the dust...and risk his life. What a prick. BBC http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/other_sports/cycling/9391538.stm
  7. The cd reissue has some very good rejected tracks.
  8. UP, some additions.
  9. Hank Mobley - The Jazz Message 2 - Savoy, King pressing.
  10. Well, it might be, but I think that some people are just paranoid about that. I mean shit happens: your car might fail, as well as your hairdryers or your hard disks. Trains and planes are subject to delay, and your parcel could be lost, it could be raining. If I'd consider all the unpleasant likelihoods when I wake up in the morning I'd stick to the bed.
  11. Charles Mingus - Mosaic Debut Recordings.
  12. Jimmy Giuffre - Mosaic Capitol and Atlantic sessions.
  13. Gustav Mahler - Symphony III - Kubelik, DG.
  14. Cannonball Adderley - In The Land Of Hi-Fi - Mercury, late german pressing. I never liked this one, too polite for my taste. I still stand. Now spinnin': Gene Ammons - Brother Jug - Prestige.
  15. Ah! I still got my old pre-amp, plus some other stuff (interconnects and power cables), in the hi-fi shop, nobody bought them until now, I guess I will have to trade them back to the dealer, admittedly a "friend", with my loudspeakers for new loudspeakers, obviously it will cost me a lot of money, but, apparently, it's the only way to cash my old stuff. p.s. I guess it's a Naim
  16. Never heard of it. I'd try some specific vinyl soap, there are dozens of them.
  17. Sonny Rollins - Sonny Rollins And The Contemporary Leaders - Contemporary, Analogue Production reissue.
  18. Sonny Rollins - Saxophone Colossus - Prestige, Analogue Production reissue
  19. Kenny Dorham - Afro-Cuban - BN, Music Matters reissue
  20. Winton Kelly - Kelly Blue - Riverside, Japan.
  21. About the telefunken, you might check and follow the advise of the website I suggested. They show how to spot a fake NOS tube. Tubes are important everywhere along the path of signal. My preamp use 2 6DJ8 (or 6922 and later equivalent) in the phono stage. I have the original Sovtek and the followin NOS: Siemens, Telefunken, Mullard and Amperex. Though I was pretty skeptikal about tube rolling, after a couple of tries I realized that every tube sounds different. It's like tunig a motorbike, fun and satifying. I am sure Jazzbo is with me on this.
  22. My pre amp doesn't use the same tubes, but usually tubes have a "factory sound", expecially NOS. Here you can find a good description of it, the seller is a nice and competent guy, I bought some tubes from him. http://www.audiotubes.com/ One advise: you have to double check very very good bargains on ebay on the Nos like Telefunken CCA made in W. Germany, there are tons of fake chinese and russian tube with "telefunken" on the bottle. About the price: NOS might be very expensive if you go for the most sought after Telefunken, Mullard, Amperex, but there are hundred of cheaper alternatives. I reccomend you to try them, TUBE ROLLING IS FUN.
  23. I definitely second that.
  24. The Bill Frisell Band - Lookout For Hope - ECM
  25. I think that lots of musicians never had, or will never have, me in their audience, that, considering the really excellent and eminent guy I am , is definitely frustrating for them.
