  2. Thanks, guys- the label discography's a great resource! I'll pass the suggestions along. On the same tip- any long-forgotten Prestige titles you'd hanker on wax? How are the later Timmons sessions?
  3. Hey- I've been asked by someone who reissues vinyl as part of his business if there were any Mainstream titles I'd recommend, and I figured I knew of a bunch of folks that might have a better handle on Mainstream's output than me. Anything worthy that's tough to find in other formats? Remember, commerce is the goal here. And no, I'm not making a dime off of this. Thanks! Sandy
  4. If anyone paid via PayPal, you can file a complaint there. PayPal then makes the seller explain what's happened- and they assume that, if the goods were sent via an untrackable method, that they were never sent.

    Feb 15 RVGs

There ain't a dud moment in Ike's late 50s-early 60s BN catalog. Bossa Nova Soul Samba, It Might as Well be Spring and the rest of the Easy Living CD (it's mostly Congo Lament material, but there's extra stuff) are all highly recommended. And his playing on Grant's B2BB is gorgeous. The 45 Sessions Mosaic's sweet, too...

    Teddy Edwards

I just snagged a sealed copy of "In New York" , and it had a "Collector's Choice"-style round, white "Limited Edition" sticker on the shrinkwrap. Edited becuse my fingers don't work properly today.
  7. Another Workout's been oop too long...
  8. About Time indeed! I know the WCC series was a bust- I'll buy two if it'll help...
  9. Great looking site, Mark! From photos to design to speedy loading, it's aces. I'll be checking in often!
  10. Amazon, at least in the US, takes 15% of the sale price, a flat $1 per item in addition, and a portion of the postage you pay as well. When selling a CD to customers here in the US (I do this lots at work), we recieve a $1.84 postage credit, and on international sales we get $4.95. Amazon makes lots of money off their marketplace sellers! $2.35 per $9 CD, and post $ as well. And all they have to do is provide space on their site.
  11. I've always gotten what I ordered, though I've seen a friend get something late. Had to be ordered, apparently. It still came...
  12. Congratulations! Sorry he can't listen to the swell CD you sold me...
  13. Cover art: Gil Melle (!) reads the credit on the 1990 McMaster of this. Edit:
  14. Got mine today, and I can't spot the flaws! Nice stuff, thanks!
  15. Lots of good news today! Thanks, Kevin!
  16. Time for Tyner has the liner notes about how hospitable us North Carolina folk are.
  17. Me too. I've been holding off on Big Beat, though... Judgement? Yep, I'll buy that! And my Fuego could stand the upgrade. But two years back I woulda flipped my wig! Edit: Who the hell am I kidding? My Think! could use an upgrade too. As usual, I'll probably buy 'em all...
  18. Yep, agreed. My copies of Think, Detroit/NY Junction, Cliff Jordan and a few others are ugly as all get-out. But they sound sweet, and I couldn't by 'em as domestic product. Having said that, I plan to replace my True Blue when the RVG is available...
  19. I manage a used book/record/cd shop and spend loads of time selling stuff on eBay/Amazon. Not the world's highest paying job, but not soul-destroying either. In my spare time, I write and draw comic books. Which will hopefully one day be the day job...
  20. I'm pretty sure it'd be bad form to ask Mosaic if they'd sell me a box and booklet to go with my eBay discs. So I'm just gonna have to take your word for it...
  21. Answering my own question: Indeed, Sextet, Vol 3, Cooker and City Lights, Candy... yep. They're all done!
  22. (Psssst: Go for the new TOCJ24s of Morgan's first Blue Note albums. At ¥1500, you can't go wrong!) You really can't, can you... have they done all six yet?
