  1. For comparison: (although that's not what I have--I have the copy shown in Brandon's post).
  2. One of my favorite Christmas presents--I didn't get it the first time around!
  3. Brandon's question made me pull this one one:
  4. God damn, this place is incredible! That's the one! Thanks, Jim!
  5. Brandon, my original (I'm pretty sure) DG copy has "767 Lexington Ave NYC" (in "script") on the labels and "767 Lexington Ave., New York 21" on the bottom middle of the back cover. Does this help? PJ
  6. OMG! I'm listening to it right now. This song rocks! On closer listen, I don't know how I didn't know this was the four tops! waka-waka-chikka-chikka-waka-waka-chikka-chikka-waka-waka-chikka-chikka!
  7. Another one heard on the radio Friday on the way home from work. On a funk program, no less! Any leads? Thanks again in advance!
  8. Paging Dan Gould, please come to the white courtesy phone!
  9. Heard a song with this lyric on the radio the other day. Sounded like the Ojays, or Harold Melvin (at one point I thought it was the song "Backstabbers"). Also had the words, "That's not a street that you can walk...they're out to get you." Any guesses? Thanks! (Edited to add more lyrics!)
  10. Hey Jeff! Happy birthday... my brother!
  11. Can't get enough! It's good on everything!
  12. Auuuuuugggggghhhhh! For one of the first times in my life I Can. Not. Sleep!!! Toss, turn, not even thinking about anything--I just can't make the sleep come, can't yawn, can't even doze. WTF! Anyone else awake (who shouldn't be)?
  13. I feel so young! Welcome, my brother!
  14. Welcome...I can't believe I _lived_ past age seventeen, to say nothing of remembering it!
  15. Yes, it chirps, like C.P.'s reed...
  16. Perhaps if Mosaic issued the Complete Significant Other with alternate takes? Only if significant other was mastered by Malcolm Addey. Then I'd give Malcolm Addey a frying pan upside the head!
  17. Happy New Year, my friends! I wish you peace, joy, happiness and prosperity in 2005. Have fun tonight, and be safe!
  18. Great news for my mind, bad news for my wallet!
  19. Wowww wowww wowww, just spinning this for the first time...listening to "ain't necessarily" right now. This is some damn fine music. I can't believe I've never heard any Mary Lou Williams until now. And I did the vocal tracks in a way I just can't get into them on New Perspective--the writing here seems much more, I don't know, "genuine"-- This is great stuff.
  20. Drop fifteen lbs and run the Seattle marathon, beating my time in the Philadelphia marathon in 2003 (no small task--hills vs. flat!)
  21. Original, mono version of: Awww, HELLYEAH!
  22. Have mercy! This is great news!
  23. Soul Stream/Dusty Groove writers = separated at birth?
