  5. Did it actually sell significantly higher than you would have gotten from your local used CD store? Funny you should ask! I actually sold a whole bunch of Pet Shop Boys CD's on half.com for an average of $10/pop!!! Who the hell knows, maybe there's a bunch of people who are equally fanatical about them, or maybe they were out of print...one man's trash...but I was thrilled to get rid of them that way!
  6. Hey, Joe! Welcome back! Good to see you! I'm teetering on the edge of buying an ipod...comments like yours are pushing me closer. Ipod + bose noise cancelling headphones = Hope all is well.
  7. Lon, I'm not sure if it's the same place, but the online directories show a Red Rooster at 7960 Dungan Rd, corner of Rhawn and Dungan. Still in business, apparently!
  8. Sun Ship on deck! Happy birthday, John C--you got me into this music, and thanks for years of enjoyment. Hope you're enjoying that big jam in the sky!

  11. Not sure how I missed out on these guys' early stuff; must have heard "Celebration" in high school and dismissed it out of hand. But I got a few tracks recently, including an 8-minute version of Summer Madness, and I've got to explore more. I HATE greatest hits albums, so recommendations on individual albums would be great. Thanks in advance.
  12. FYI, she and her quartet will be at the Village Vanguard in NYC November 16-21, the week before Poppa Lou & company! See here for details.

  18. Hey folks... I recently acquired the Gil Melle and Howard McGhee/Kenny Drew CDs from this series (from this board, actually). I love the music, and had little exposure to it previously, so, of course, now I'm trying to find it ALL!!! I'm looking for: Howard McGhee Vol. 2/Tal Farlow GOT IT! Julius Watkins Vol. 1 & 2 Frank Foster/George Wallington GOT IT! Sal Salvador/Kenton Presents GOT IT! I believe these are out of print, but figured some of you folks might have an extra. Yes, I'm willing to pay fair prices. Hit me with a PM if you've got a spare! Thanks in advance. PJ
