  1. Holy S___! Of course, provenance, condition, u.s.w., but... This is exhibit "A" to my insurance policy!!!
  2. Yum. Do fresh oregano & parsley do anything for that recipe, or is dried better?
  3. The image didn't show up. Is that pound cake? I'd prefer pie.
  4. No forking question about it. Pie, man. _THINK_ about it. B-)
  5. yeah, I got this one too (the McDuff), was hoping it would be closer to Moon Rappin' which is one of the least deep fried McDuff lps, but outstanding nonetheless ... as you suggest, it is a little disappointing ... Now _that's_ a sales job! Just kidding. I actually like this one...although, no, it's not on your typical McDuff tip...
  6. Dammit, Mike, you made me do something I never thought I'd have to do: look up Kenny G on AMG. I didn't realize that his career went back so far (his first album in 1982). For some reason I thought him a 90's phenomenon, which is why I wasn't sure if he hit the tail end of the "LP age." Dude, he was recording as a sideman w/Jeff Lorber before that, 1980's WIZARD ISLAND on Arista. How does he sound? Not bad, not great, "in the style", etc. No inkling whatsoever of what was to come. If we had known then what we knew now... It may be the fact that I grew up in Portland, Oregon when all these "sounds" were coming to the fore, but I've always dug "Wizard Island" and the other Lorber Fusion records from back in the day. But you're right, Jim...had we known...dayummmmm....
  7. why the alcohol? doesn't the detergent lower the surface tension of the water enough? Jesus!!! Questions like this are why I took "Physics of Music" (no joke) to satisfy my science credits. Wow!
  8. If Д.Д. doesn't bite, I'd be delighted to have this... But I'll watch and wait!
  9. Damn...I'm booking the next flight to Michigan...
  10. Did someone grab the copy of Cowell's Brilliant Circles? If not, I'd love it...
  11. Found my way to pay it forward... Jazzkrow, I will be in Portland this weekend and I will PERSONALLY DELIVER one new RVG release of your choice. Pick one and we'll work out the details.
  12. Worked for me going 2700 miles from Seattle to Philadelphia! Don't rent a uhaul, though, get a budget diesel truck...more torque, cheaper gas. You should have seen us pull into the Badlands campsite, all Beverly-hillbilly, diesel-smoke-belchin', beat to hell volvo with bikes on top trailin', 10,000 pounds of us...a sight to behold! Driving that rig through downtown Philly was another thing altogether...
  13. Bah. I'm going to pretend I didn't read this post. I refuse to accept that Love Day has any roots in commercialization. I Love "Love Day" and this thread warms my heart. Out of the mouths of babes. Thanks for sharing, Soulstream!
  14. And thanks to PhillyQ for sending my the TOCJ ( ) of Ready for Freddie! I'm sorry I haven't gotten my offerings up yet as well...by the weekend at the latest, I promise!
  15. The Zagat Guide to jazz!
  16. Yeah, baby--Happy Love Day!
  17. Oh, you mean a little thing like only offering censored editions of various records? Oh, I LOVE it when capitalism dictates the arts...
  18. All together now... "Record-It. Record-It. Record-It. Record-It." Come on, Mike--[subtle application of peer pressure]--everybody's recording CD's!
  19. Self-titled, or ???
  20. You sir, RAWK. B-)
  21. Two. One if having the original and defective versions of "Dialogue" means one.
