  1. I'm with Jim. I tend to tip well and am happy that I'm able to do so. And in doing that, I hope that it helps the folks receiving the tips feel good about what they do. (I should add that the fact that my wife worked as a waitress in college and for a few years afterward to supplement her income - though I didn't know her then - has had an influence on my attitude toward tipping.)

  15. Call it what you want to. There are/were musicians based on the West coast who interest me and other musicians based there who don't. That's all that's important to me. The rest is all labels and word games.
