  1. I'm pretty sure that my family had a Muntz TV set in 1951. Guess that really dates me.
  2. A friend of mine who's not a member here was looking on and saw your post. He asked me to post this: I found a copy via here: http://www.cityhallrecords.com. - looks like there’s one copy left. Also, there is another variation from 1944, used, and for sale in Paris: http://www.parisjazzcorner.com/en/dis_fiche.php?ArtNum=116067

  12. I bought a CD player in 1986, partly out of curiosity. I think that the first CD I bought was Duke Ellington: All Star Road Band. Around the same time, I picked up some Japanese Riverside and Prestige reissues - The Unique Thelonious Monk, Brilliant Corners, Sonny Rollins Plus 4. All of these sounded good back then and still do. That said, there were some terrible sounding CD issues back then. I've gotten rid of those.

  15. It's the 28th in Paris, so: Happy Birthday, Guy!
  16. Different strokes. I prefer Ted Hawkins' or Conway Twitty's versions. I like Wanda Jackson, but this doesn't sound real to me.
