  1. I don't doubt it.
  2. Got mine yesterday. I gave both discs a quick listen lastnight, straight ahead go stuff.
  3. Get you some! They carry it to the queen, she eats, and it kills her ass dead.
  4. Just gave this one a sample listen, and you guys are right. It's a must.
  5. Sorry it's late. I hope all was good.
  6. Francis!
  7. Nice one, Marcus. I gave track four it's proper due over the weekend, and now I'm into it, so it looks as if I have another to pick up.
  8. On Sunday.... Joe Henderson - In N' Out Jaki Byard - Last From Lennie's Herbie Hancock - My Point of View Steve Kuhn - Love Walked In
  9. I'm gonna have to listen again.
  10. That's some funny shit, Jim. I voted Cheez-Wiz, sorry John, a buddy of mine used to sit and spray that shit out on crackers for hours while watching TV. That just never seemed right to me, and ruined any chance of me ever trying to like it.
  11. Okay, now we can get answers.
  12. Here I go. Marcus overall I would say I really enjoyed the cd, thanks so very much for putting it together. And thanks Big Al for sending it my way. #1 - Not really my thing, but it could have been worse . My guess is something from your end of the world. Now let's see how wrong I am. #2 - Tenor has a Houston Person type feel, so maybe it is? #3 - Real nice sound, and an interesting piece of music. No idea on the players. #4 - I couldn't really get into this one. Maybe I need to give it a few more listens. #5 - Enjoyed this one a lot. First thought was Cedar Walton with some new blood, but I think I'm way off the mark. #6 - Hey what do you know, "Four Brothers" is the tune. Don't know the sax, could it be Milt on vibes? #7 - Not too bad, is that Kirk Lightsey on piano? Probably not. #8 - I liked this, liked it a lot. All over the place on this one. Could be Tyner on Piano, initially I wanted to say Shorter on tenor, but I'm not so sure. #9 - It don' mean a thing, and I'd say this one did swing. Oscar Peterson? If that's an electric bass, my guess is probably way off. #10 - Mingus? #11 - Don't know the players, but a real pretty piece. #12 - A little weird. #13 - A great one for sure. #14 - What can I say, I liked it. A somehwat familiar tune, played by....???? Cyrus Chestnut? Oh hell, I don't know, but I'll probably be looking for this one. #15 - Beautiful voice, no idea on the singer.
  13. Yep. The only thing missing is the prediction that they will reach the US by 2009.
  14. Not cheating, but rather just wanting to drop a line and say I did get the cd, and will be posting my guesses on Friday. I've not been at home much for the last week or so, so I've not really had a chance to give a good listen. Sorry for slowing things down, guys.
  15. Canton! I never knew.
  16. DEEP if here, would probably say, Booker Ervin. B-)
  17. I'm thinking the middle of January. Don't discount the volume of posts during the elections, it's gonna be up there.
  18. Benny Carter, my other choice....., Johnny Hodges.
  19. Two not yet mentioned, Benny Carter and Erroll Garner.
  20. That can't be good.
  21. Stay tuned.....
  22. I'm guessing sometime before mid January.
  23. Oy ve, I'm tired. Okay, I'm in!
