  5. Ike Quebec “Bossa Nova Soul Samba” Blue Note Japan 24 Bit by RVG lp facsimile cd I love this session so much. I discovered today that I have TWO copies of this 24 Bit by RVG, and I know I have another Japanese cd. One that I haven’t gotten that I might one day when I feel a big splurge possible is the Analogue Productions SACD which I bet sounds great. [IMG]600×600 50.4 KB

  8. Just got an email back from them. The set was returned to them and they are mailing it out to me again. Good customer service!
  9. It's easy for me to get tired of pop or rock music that I just sort of love. That one and Dark Side of the Moon I never need to hear again! My brother used to (and in a way still does) play the same music over and over for months. . . and then move on to another to obsess about. Currently he's nuts about Jason Isbell--will get his new album and play it incessantly til the next one arrives, rinse and repeat. My other brother is a jazz and classical music fan.
  10. Dave Douglas, Joe Lovano–Sound Prints “Scandal” Blue Note cd 800×500 145 KB
  11. One of my brothers played that album so many times over and over I can just look at the cover and I'm good.

  17. Wayne Escoffery “Veneration–Live at Smoke” Savant cd
  18. Just noticed that my order has UK in the address rather than United States. Could be why it has not been received.
  19. We had spent two years in Ethiopia prior to that, which was a wonderful experience as well. But the three years at Waterford Kamhlaba were perhaps the most important in my life. I was the only American at the school (my siblings were too young to attend) and there were African, English, Indian and Portuguese students from a number of African countries, and the only drawback was that there were only about 12 girls amid 120 or so male students. I had the best education of my life and the best cultural and social experience of my life--it shaped me in important ways.
  20. Miles Davis “ESP” Blu-Spec CD2 2023
  21. There NEVER was apartheid in Swaziland. The impetus of the creation of this school was anti-apartheid--it was originally built in the Republic of South Africa to enroll white and African students together, and was then banned and moved to Swaziland to be rebuilt in 1962. My family arrived the week that Swaziland gained its independence from the UK and we were the first American family to live there--my father was the first Director of their Peace Corps program.
  22. Miki Yamanaka “Songs without Lyrics” cd 980×972 270 KB Miki on piano and composer, with Lawrence Leathers(drums), Tivon Pennicott(sax/flute), and Spencer Murphy(bass) 1920×1280 505 KB
  23. Students of Waterford Kamhlaba School, M'Babane, Swaziland (Eswatini) 1968. I'm in there somewhere.
  24. Art Tatum "Jewels in the Treasure Box" disc 3
