If you can or have to ask, sell and buy new at the new destination. I couldn't even pose the question as 90% of our furniture is handpicked by my wife or from her family. . . and they have been moved before and they will be moved next time we move! I'd ship my bed as well; bought an all latex bed, love it, don't want to replace it, should last for many many more years.

Yes, likewise to Wes, I won't be much help. I actually prefer all the additional material to the original Jack Johnson lp by a margin--if asked I would give up that final disc before any other. As Wes does I enjoy the flow of the sessions and the variety. The Pascoal and "The Mask" pieces are my favorites, but I really dig the different takes of "Willie Nelson" etc. At yourmusic.com prices I'd recommend the box set and find the space, though I know you're already on your different course.

My advice, don't even smoke cloves. It seemed to me the dozen or so times I FAILED to quit smoking was that even one smoke just reinforces the urges and desires. I finally did quit, and it is nearly fifteen full years now that I have been not smoking, but I had to just cold turkey STOP. That was what I did. My wife helped me a lot. She put up with my stress and bitchiness and did a lot to relieve it. I owe her a big debt of gratitude. So step one: don't satisfy any of your cravings to smoke if you really want to stop. I don't know anyone who really was successful by tapering off and/or substituting. Another thing that helps: wash every scrap of your clothing or anything of fabric you can. Get the smell of smoke out of it. Smelling smoke cues in the urges and cravings. . . . Stay away from people who smoke as much as possible. I had to stay away from BARS. Now it's not so necessary as there are fewer bars that are filled with smoke; I know YOU can't stay away because of the gigging thing. I had just given up on the gigging thing so I didn't have that excuse and temptation.

I think you can trust VS . . . they may be scrubbed a little with noise reduction, but probably not too badly. Looks like a good deal from cdu for Cash fans!

Excellent job Jim; some great music in there on those that I have heard! Also, the Paul Winters were reissued on Collectables much cheaper than the Japanese versions!

Well, I got the four new box sets today. I couldn't resist the preorder price from cduniverse; I got them all for less than ninety dollars total. And as Clem has noted elsewhere. . . they are spectacular reissues. Beautiful boxes, beautiful booklets, beautiful digipaks, beautiful sound. . . . And it appears that there is quite a bit of material from 78s that are not within the 102 other cd releases. Really, when you hold these in your hands you just marvel at their organized beauty. Some spectacular photos and paintings and handbills and song sheets and. . . . Going to be slowly savoring these for some time!

A number of these have been reissued in Brazil, in Japan. . . even in the US (in the case of the Gilberto lps, tnree of which were all reissued on a single Pacific Jazz cd that has long been out of print). There was a three cd set of early Jobim works (as arranger, producer, etc.) that may still be around. . . . Some of these are still available. . . .Dusty Groove has a wallet draining amount of albums like this. . . .

I'm sworn to secrecy. . . but. . . I've been told it WILL be released in good time. Not that anyone should doubt that it would!

I believe I have this material under a different bootleg guise. Interesting. . . especially the last parts which sort of herald a change and a move towards a more songlike structure that would be picked up "after the retirement." Would be nice stuff to have in a box from Columbia. . . and it wouldn't surprise me to see one one day. Dollars to be made off Miles=Sony eventually getting around to it.
