Went into town after the tornado hit in a neighboring town on Tuesday. Some stores are operating off a single generator, a lot of stores still closed, a lot of empty aisles in the grocery store due to food not being refrigerated for a day.
Right now, listening to Raul de Souza “Jazzmim”–not the fiery Raulzinho from decades past, but a nice smooth album.

Eric Dolphy “Out to Lunch!” blue Note Japan 85th Anniversary UHQCD
This is the best sounding digital version I’ve ever heard of this title. If only it had the alternates included!
I am not awake late at night and I am awake in the early hours of the morning so I play music at different hours than you do.
Right now:
Eliane Elias with Bob Brookmeyer and the Danish Radio Jazz Orchestra “Impulsive! – Play the Music of Eliane Elias” Stunt Records cd
Playing this as loud as I can . . . rewarding sound.
Wish I had more sleep, but don’t want to miss these cool hours of the morning for listening.

I'll have to look into that. . . .
I love the A.A. Fair books. . . Be Cool and Lam. . . I've been slowly re-reading them, and like that Hard Case Crime has put some out.
I'm reading one of Ms Pagel's. . . love reading her work.
And also bouncing around in this:
Lord Running Clam "PINK BEAM: A Philip K. Dick Literary Chronology"
Not easy to find, but the King Jazz series, I think there are 14 volumes, is excellent--I have all these as well as the JSP and I actually like to listen to the King Jazz a bit more--I've had them much longer and they really are satisfying listens.
Also. . . don't miss the earlier RCA two cd set of piano solos.
