  1. Not as good as I expected, at least so far.
  2. I'm out. My views are clear, I respect the views of others. No need to write about it further. I'm not a fan of arguing and so won't accept this invite.
  3. You're always so adversarial. Doesn't make for pleasant conversation or friend building. Just saying. I haven't heard any of these HDTracks. Lots of opinions on them on Hoffman Board. I bet some of them sound awesome. HiRes can be great stuff.
  4. It took three clicks to find this. http://www.cannonball-adderley.com/leader.htm
  5. That's not what I do, I enjoy the music too. I don't know why you exhibit such disdain for people who are just trying to hear a bit more.
  6. https://www.hdtracks.com/ Where you been?
  7. There are still earlier ones that have only appeared via Japan (and much of what has come out is not in print I think), and I'd love to see a Mosaic set of this, and if Selects weren't history, a few Selects of the later stuff. I'm doubtful we will see any collections like this, but I'd pre-order immediately if they were compiled and released. In the meantime, I'll just seek out the few lps I don't have yet. I really doubt that we would see a lot of unreleased stuff put out in a set.
  8. This may be in the Eddie Condon Mob Sessions Mosaic? I like the Paraders material in there. Nice sound too.
  9. Yes, this has been discussed in the "What are you listening to now?" thread. The Capitol Adderleys have been shamefully neglected on CD.
  10. Barclay stereo issue of Axis Bold as Love
  11. Great packing music. Great sound on these lps.
  12. What's really good about the first 33 or so is that these are great albums in this series imo, and it's nice to have digital versions that are stand-alone and not have the material as bonus tracks on other cds or in Mosaic sets. And on top of that the sound imo is spectacular, among the very best ever Blue Note cds.
  13. By the way, I was just randomly quoting Al Franken's "Stuart Smalley" bit if that wasn't apparent. Yeah, my chances of having a happy life there are good enough. . .two of my three siblings are a half hour away, my parents will be practically next door, I'll get back into church and I know I'll make new friends. And I'm hoping I can keep the romance flame alive over the distance.
  14. I deserve good things. I am entitled to my share of happiness. I refuse to beat myself up. I am an attractive person. I am fun to be with.
  15. If my life really changed in a direction that I would love it too. . . I wouldn't need to hang on the internet and the thread wouldn't be updated. I'm actually not ending up where I started, I never lived in Ohio after week three of my life til I was seventeen. . . and then it was about fifty minutes from where I'm now headed, in Burton, Ohio, Geauga County.
  16. Thanks my friend. Wow. Four times. The part I'm most sad about is leaving friends. . .and beginning a long-distance romance. Sigh. But I think there will be an adventure ahead.
  17. I haven't heard any Kikuchi.
  18. My guess is that this is EMI just finding another outlet for the product so I'm not sure anyone is "betraying Mosaic" by buying some of these files. I wouldn't do it, but that's because I don't like digital files more than anything else.
  19. I'm sure it does. Thing is I think if I need to move and store them it will be in Ohio.
  20. I am reckless with my funds. I somehow manage to just make it all work, as if this were some sort of Roger Zelazny "Amber" that I can shape to my liking. I'm amazed that I haven't fallen flat on my face. But I actually have been showing restraint, remarkable for me but understandable with this big move, but couldn't pass up this one. Like you I'm really grooving to vinyl and I have had an eye on this set and am glad to cross it off the list. Hope you can snag a copy soon!
  21. Yeah, Monty Waters is very good.
