I don't know. For the most part I don't read liner notes any longer and so don't know if they explain it.

Starting off with a great 2 cd set from 2023 that sort of got lost in the shelves. Brian Blade “Lifecycles, Vols. 1-2: Now! and Forever More Honoring Bobby Hutcherson” Brian Blade - drums and background vocals Rogerio Boccato - percussion Jon Cowherd - piano, wurlitzer and background vocals Monte Croft - vibraphone, marimba and lead vocals John Hart - guitar Myron Walden - flute, tenor and alto saxophone and bass clarinet Doug Weiss - bass This is a wonderful tribute to “Now!” and other Bobby Hutcherson musics. And great engineering as well.

Thank you. It was odd this morning to wake up and not be woken up. It will take some adjusting for a while.

Thanks. She was a rascal Kevin; we "rescued" her about nine years ago of an unknown age, probably five or six, and at first would do things like steal a steak off Lucinda's plate, disappear under the house and refuse to come out until she felt like it, crawl into pipes and hollow trees --got stuck in one of those-- after moles or mice. . . she finally mellowed with age and became a couch potato welded to my hip or in my arms. It will be a big adjustment but we were prepared for this. Six months or more of blindness and deafness is a big cross for her to bear and adjust to, and a big effort for us (mostly me) to manage. I'm glad she's resting in peace. . . and as a benefit I will be sleeping better as well.

Thanks we had time to acclimate to her leaving us soon. We're going to be alright. She was MY dog, treated my wife as a second class citizen. It will be nice to be able to snuggle with my wife again.

I just finished making a permanent resting place for my dear Fiona the miniature dachshund near one of her favorite spots in the back yard. She stopped eating and drinking two days ago, and we made an appointment with the vet’s for a probable termination for 11:00 a.m. and true to her self-determined nature she decided to pass away peacefully in her dog bed at 9:30 a.m. She was a BIG part of my life, I’m really going to miss her, but we gave her a full life and she did not seem in pain, just drifted away. She was such a character! I miss her already. I’m playing this disc. . . she always settled down and took a nice snooze whenever I would. And it’s comfort music for me. I wouldn't know. . . I'm not much of a movie person, and I am also not much of a soundtrack guy. I'll take your word for it!

Chick Corea "Return to Forever" ECM LP Listened to my OG LP and man what a wonderful experience. This is a masterpiece. What Joe, Flora and Airto contribute has always intrigued me. And Chick's Fender Rhodes playing is among the best ever.
