  1. Gentlemen and Ladies, I am going to post my condition updates to a new thread under Miscellaneous & Non political. I appreciate all your support. Thank you much. Bruce W :bwallace2:
  2. First let me say THANKS A LOT GUYS, I APPRECIATE YOUR CONCERNS AND WELL WISHES. I have done a lot of research in just this week to find out about different treatments and availabilities. Information is the key to my health. And I feel healthy now. LATEST, I still need the bone scan test which should be forthcoming this coming week. Barring any complication, my choices have been narrowed down to EBT and IMRT, and the newest treatment, cryotherapy. Either one should provide me with a successful result. Thanks again for your responses and well wishes. Just remember, all you musicians, keep the jazz music going. You know what, I used to think I could not tell anyone about my playing until my music was perfect. That is just not true anymore. I have some vids on YouTube. Search for Vibeman27 and 5 or 6 of my vids will come up. Take them for what they are worth and enjoy. Thanks guys BruceW a Piston lover :bwallace2:
  3. Hey Guys, I hate to break in on the thread but I now have another test to pass. I have cancer. Found out a couple of days ago. Prostate cancer. Facts: I cannot have surgery because of my heart medication Plavix. My wife and I are considering other options including radiation or freezing. Apparently freezing is one of the newest techniques finally approved by the medical societies. I still have to take a bone scan to find out if the cancer is confined or spreading. Will keep all of you posted. :bwallace2:
  4. That's what you Laker fans always say when you get caught crying. The Pistons are not in the present picture so why go there. It is Boston vs. Lakers we are talking about. FYI I am not a Boston fan, just a basketball fan in this conversation. But if you do want to go there, the last memory I have of the Lakers and the Pistons in a final was the PISTONS KICKING LAKERS (supposed dream team) BEHINDS.
  5. That is not what is wrong with the Lakers.
  6. All the teams used to be mainly white.
  7. In other words, Why can't we analyze the good plays, etc. :bwallace2:
  8. Well, let's try this. Everybody knows that the NBA wanted the Lakers in the Finals, right? The Boston Celtics in the Finals, right? So what is the problem. EVERYTHING evens out and it comes down to the team that has put themselves in a position to win. Every team's fans makes remarks about the bad calls. It all evens out, every team gets good calls and bad calls. It evens out. So what happens, the best teams or, if you will, the best prepared teams win the series or individual games in question. That is really what is going on here. Every year it is the same there, the ref this, the ref that. But what it comes down to is the most prepared team putting themselves in a position to win regardless of bad calls. Now can I get a towel and wipe this crap off my computer? scroll down, in case you didn't understand, I just wanted to provoke some real competitive banter about the games. There are no personal attacks on anyone.
  9. Ok, let's make this interesting. I am a Piston fan and my team is not in the playoffs, ok! Now, why is it every time the Lakers lose, it is the refs or some other lame excuse?? They got their asses kicked period. Same thing happend with the Magic and Kareem Lakers, got their butts kicked first two games and decided to fight back and won the series. This Laker team (and fans) needs to do the same and quit crying. and I'm a Piston fan and they got their asses handed to them and it was nobody's fault but their own. I mean, this is the internet and the tears are coming right through the wires up into my screen, damn!!
  10. This is not going to be a good year for veteran stars to be traded. Most all teams are loaded with young good future stars and they are not going to give them up. Watch, the power is changing and basement teams are becoming top teams. Now that would be something to see, yeah.
  11. Well Jim, You see things the same way I do, Sheed has to go. Billups should go but is under new contract and Pistons can't afford that now. I always seen to detect a complacency in Billups when he Pistons are losing a lead. He seems to want to be the one to "bring them back from a deficit" and it doesn't always work. Tayshaun Prince is very unhappy in the way he is used especially in the games they lose. He is best defender in league, he can score if point guard sets him up properly, which Billups has not been doing lately. I have seen it in his face all year that he is discontent especially when the Pistons are blowing a big lead. It is so obvious. So, he probably wants out. And he will be good trade bait. McDyss is valuable to no end. Only age will limit his playing time. They might trade Lindsay Hunter while he is still able to bring talent in return. :bwallace2:
  12. I don't know about you, but I expected it. Flip was never a good choice for the type of team the Pistons had in the first place. I predicted his demise if they did not win on another bb I am on. And lo and behold. Now just watch, you are going to see a couple of players eliminated from the Piston mix also. Remember, you heard it here first. And then there was the Flip Saunders curse (losing the big series) continuously. :bwallace2:
  13. Lots of guys have good questions as to why what amount of games between series. But you all know the difference between the conferance finals and the NBA Finals, since more additional time for both teams to rest and heal to hopefully have a very equal contested series; that is teams with a full healthy complement of players where possible. Simple. :bwallace2: Damn ass Detroit lost again. Major changes next year. OR was it the Flip curse??
  14. Seems like its been consistent enough to get Stern his desired final of Lakers vs Celtics. I hate to say this but it really looks that way. There was so much talk about Lakers vs. Celtics and everything that is happening is leading to that. And of course David S. will be standing courtside with that great big smile on his face. (as the money rolls in) Cah-Ching.
  15. I'm sure the Spurs are happy, huh!! Like it is going to help them now.
  16. Heyy, That's Detroit, not Detrite
  17. Well I dunno, I never saw the ball hit the rim, but if it did, then you are right but I thought it missed the rim and therefore, the call was correct. Anyway, 2 seconds is a lot of time for the great Kobe. No excuse there.
  18. Well the point was how cheap the foul was on Pippen as opposed to how obvious the foul was on Fisher. Point being; outcomes determined by refs with agendas; the ref who called the foul on Pippen was known to hate the Bulls (as stated by commentators at the time also). And ref who did not call foul on Lakers is known to dislike Spurs. ... then maybe Crawford was willfully ignoring Fisher's foul on Barry, because of his suspension last year. And if that's the case, then the game isn't being determined by the players, which sucks. agreed and it is looking bad for NBA objectivity, isn't it? that seems to have been the fair call. And what about Kobe trying his best not to answer the question. It was unfair to ask him that but he flat out lied and you could see it on his face. I don't think he had any other choice though.
  19. Anybody remember the first year Michael retired, scenario Bulls vs. Knicks in Conference Finals, last game, and Pippen was called for a real ticky tac "touch" foul (after shot released) on the 3 point shot by the Knicks at the buzzer. Knicks make freethrows and win the game and series. :bwallace2: Unless a team just plain kicks the snot out of its opponent, the NBA will get the teams it wants in the Finals.
  20. We know Big Ben is gone. And, you don't talk any smack when your Lakers lose either....... why is that?
  21. i knew it, I was wondering where you were? :bwallace2:
  22. Agreed!! :bwallace2:
  23. Damnit The Pistons are so screwed up with their attitude. That was worst game I have ever seen by Pistons. That or the Flip Saunders coacing is sooo bad. They should be wondering why they have not got past the Conference Finals in last 5 years. Damn.
  24. Yeah, well what I like is the fact that the Pistons now have home court advantage, and the Celtics have not won a road game all playoffs. It can now become a mind thing with them and it probably is. That makes it that much harder to win one on the road during the playoffs, let alone the Conference Finals. Go Pistons :bwallace2:
