Green Bay and Pats in the Super Bowl will be a great game :bwallace2:

Best game played Sat nite and it was not on TV!! Boston vs. Detroit Sadly for me, Boston won this time. What a match up. They will probably meet in the ECF. Where is everybody??? :bwallace2:

Hell, that was funny... :bwallace2:

My bad, I thought Walton was in the trade for Ariza. Anyway Ariza is good for the Lakers. Yeah, Boston is something else right now. Long season and injuries will tell the tale. They should go deep in the playoffs but I also don't think they can win the whole thing. :bwallace2:
-
Thanks Guys, Looks like Lakers are coming around with Walton gone and Ariza on board as the 3rd &/or 4th scoring option. Brings a lot of energy and cutting to the basket. Boston has turned into a high caliber threat in the East. The real test is not the first road swing west but the second half of the season and a road swing west. Don't think they can beat Pistons in 7 though. :bwallace2:

Oh, Montana had plenty of other weapons, too. John Taylor Dwight Clark Roger Craig Freddie Solomon Among many others.... Rice is the best no matter who threw to him [Jeff Kemp and Steve Young will attest] Man, can't sneak anything past you guys. Of Course Rice was the smoothest, slickest, most confident and most capable receiver ever. Rice raised the bar for all receivers. Just trying to give Moss his props!!
-
PATS 16 and Oh I love Jerry Rice and he was the greatest; 12 games BUT Jerry Rice had Joe Montana and Rice was THE receiver most of the time especially when it was time to throw for a TD. So let us not forget that Brady shared the ball with a lot of people. When it was time for a TD, Moss was not always the primary receiver nor the intended receiver. The Pats believed in deception and sharing the wealth. So keep it in perspective guys; just spouting off stats is not the whole story. Long Live Rice Long Live Moss PERIOD. :bwallace2: Keep your eyes on the Pistons too.

Hi Guys, Glad to say that I am back from my heart procedures and am resting well. So having said that...... Go Pistons! BruceW :bwallace2:

Thanks Loads Berigan, I will check to see how Plavix fits into their picture. So far, with the use of my medical, I have gotten the cost down to $60 for a 30 day supply (but that is still tooo high). When I get my next prescription I will send that to my medical Home Delivery and save an additional $60 (pay for two months, get third month free). I really appreciate the information. And I hope all the guys are watching this thread because one never knows when it will affect them. :bwallace2:

Hi Guys, I have completed the operations. Actually it turned out to be two operations; one on Friday and one on Monday, at total of six (6) stents were implanted in my heart arteries. At first it was to be an overnight thbing, but it wasn't. It got more complicated after they (the doctors) got inside (angiogram). I am well, tired and appalled about Plavix having such high powered lawyers that they can declare a generic drug for Plavix illegal. Plavix is expensive as hell BUT I am alive. Thanks for your support guys. Bruce :bwallace2:

Thanks guys for all your concerns and information. Yes, I am concerned about the legality and legitimacy of these outfits. Am checking into Canada Pharmacy. No, I won't be ordering any meds until after my procedure and doctor's recommendations. No, I hope I don't do anything stupid. Yes, I really need some kind of discount situation, the FDA appears to really have a monopoly on this Plavix situation, millions of heart patients, apparently no meds competition yet, and setting prices that break a lot of people. What I am trying to investigate now is if Plavix has really been on the market 10 years, and after 7 years, any pharmaceutical can produce the same drug and yet, there does not appear to be any competition in the United States. Thanks again, Bruce p.s will try to be more active in the NBA and NFL discussions this year. And I still like the Pistons with one caveat, it will be hard to win a title with Flip Saunders at the helm. :bwallace2: (still looks like Hamilton)

Hi Gang, Hate to bust in on this thread but some of you I know and I need information if possible. Seeing as how I am about to have heart procedure or procedures upon me and as a result will probably have to take Plavix the rest of my life, my question to you is this. Has anyone heard of or utilized or presently using Discount Drugs from Canada as their medication dispensary?? This, after some research, seems to be the one place of avoiding the horrendous costs of medication in the United States. Plavix has apparently been out for about 10 years and yet there is no generic medication available, at least not on my medical plan. Any verification or confirmation is greatly appreciated. You do not have to identify yourself, this is for my own information to make a solid choice of obtaining needed medications. Thanks Bruce W

Hank Aaron was a consistent, steady home run hitter throughout his career: http://www.baseball-reference.com/a/aaronha01.shtml You may note that he never hit more than 47 in his career, but also never hit fewer than 24 per year until his final three seasons. Ruth was the home run king and until the steroid age, was alone in the number of 55+ home run seasons in history. He was a uniquely talented baseball player, not only very strong but also playing in a ballpark designed for his lefthanded swing. To say that it "couldn't be done" is simply foolish. Ruth was the first slugger and fittingly wore the home run crown until Hank caught him. As has been noted many times, until the end of the 1998 season, Barry Bonds was a solid but far from spectacular home run hitter (iirc, I think he hit a home run every 18 at bats or so). After that season, when his steroid use began, his home run hitting skyrocketed, to the rate of hitting a home run more than every ninth at bat. The fact that this home run splurge coincided with his steroid use and also coincided with what is supposed to be the athletic decline of virtually every power hitter in baseball history, is surely indicative that he isn't exactly "The Natural". Last point is this: No one claims that Bonds hit all of his home runs because of steroids. Without them, he was headed toward a highly respectable lifetime total of probably 500 or maybe 550. But that wasn't going to be enough for a man with his gargantuan ego. No, he hated the fact that McGuire and Sosa were getting all the attention when all things considered, he was the better all-around player. This was the reason Barry started using, the steroids are why Bonds hit about 200 more homers than he otherwise would have. Its really very simple. Sounds like you got it all "figured out." Ruth is clean, Aaron is clean, Bonds is dirty. At any rate, I threw that out for all you guys to analyse not to disect what I said as gospel. Lets make that clear. Thanks. BUT, having said that, why are there always very clean "good guy" explanations for Ruth and Aaron. I am not saying they took anything, but training was different between Ruth and Aaron and Aaron and Bonds. Look how many years between Ruth and Aaron; and Aaron and Bonds, and training regimens. If I recall, as of yet Bonds has not been convicted of anything yet. So why was it so impossible for someone 40 + years later to break Aaron's record?? Even Bonds record is going to be broken and are you going to accuse the person who breaks his?? All this is food for thought, nothing else. I personally don't declare whether he was on steriods or not. Many say Yankee stadium was made for Ruth, short porch in left; well so is the stadium in San Francisco very very accomodating for lefty Bonds. One thing I do stand by is this; you got to hit the ball first; and because there are so many on steriods why aren't they all hitting record breaking homeruns? Have more fun guys

I have been away for awhile. I attempted to read every single post on the Bonds issue. No such luck, and certainlly not necessary. I only offer this for everyone to consider or start an argument over: If Bonds hits #756 at the age of 43 and it is because of steroids.... then how the hell did Aaron hit 755? and How the hell did Ruth hist 714 way back when "it couldn't be done?" just some thoughts for all the analysts

Not even Kobe, of course not, he is none of those and never will be. He will only be Lebron James whenever his game matures a little more. I view "King James as the NBA's savior" simply as PR the NBA puts out to keep and gain its viewers and nothing more. The NBA makes money, Cleveland makes money, James makes money etc., etc., etc., nothing more. -

What about him, Lakers are not going to trade him, and who has enough to give up to get him anyway????? Phoenix could put together some interesting trades for Kobe. Guy If Phoenix give up (2 to 3 guys minimum required), then they won't be Phoenix anymore. Lakers might improve but would have no go-to stars. -_- -

Sorry, back to more pressing issues. Are Chauncey and 'Sheed wearing Pistons uniforms next year? No, I truly believe Chauncey played in a manner that showed he was ready to move on. He wants to be a super star. He appears tired of dishing off. Sheed has worn out his welcome. He is just too big not to be in the middle banging up guys. He really hates to do that. He has also been around long enough to stop his whining all the time. What about him, Lakers are not going to trade him, and who has enough to give up to get him anyway????? -
Roddick has been basically like a baseball pitcher with only a fast ball. Eventually everyone sits and waits on it......

Added note to you: NO ONE can guard Lebron one on one. Bowen has had to guard the best player every time he steps on the court. Who else does that and does it well?? Not saying Bowen is the MVP but he is certainly not to be left out of the mix for the award. -
Federer is great, Nadal is great They both have their niches; Federer can't win the French, Nadal can't win anythiing else but has three straight wins at the French. That is great Now, Anna Kournikova is a different thing...... :-)

Apologize for not being around much this season guys. Have been locked in battle with our contractor through the State License Board. (Contractor left a whole lot to be desired in quality and dedication yet, we still have a nice rebuilt home.) They were just jerks about the whole process. Next year should be no problem, but I got to admit, at this point I do not think the Pistons will be a factor next season. Need many changes. -
Have to go along with Dan on this one. Federer is fantastic, so what, Lendl never won Wimbledon and he was great. Why do we feel the greatest has to win everything? That is next to impossible.

Not really, remember there was a pretty good draft this year. :bwallace2:
