  1. It is 113 here in San Bernardino AND I don't dare start a fire ANYWHERE...
  2. Yeah, even the kid saw that Kent was Superman (he just didn't want to believe it). Lois's boyfriend also saw the similarities but let Lois discourage the thought.
  3. Yeah, I got to go along with you on this one; brilliant. This was very good and Spacey was top dog until the end, which Singer did botch. As smart as Luthor was... ooops, won't give anything away. BTW, saw the Spidey trailer and it looks very very intriguing. Definitely a must see.
  4. Hey SS1, How you doin'? Me, I'm bbq'ng with my wife. Man we like to light up the grill (charcoal is our choice by the way). Nothing like that real smoke going through those ribs and chicken or whatever delicacy we choose. Our sauce has a starting base of Cris & Pitts Hickory sauce. We add our own recipe to that. We always cook from scratch BUT are considering using that oven idea first and then finishing up on the grill. Happy bbq'ng Oh yeah, thanks for posting that Corkys website. yum yum
  5. WTF Your next NBA King when he gets there.
  6. Picking up Nazr Mohammed as a replacement for Big Ben isn't an upgrade. Thanks for taking him off our hands down in San Antonio. He's certainly serviceable though. Just not very tough or particularly strong. If he built up some arm-strength and developed an attitude, he'd be alright. Guess what! The Pistons are smart enough to plan to do exactly that to Mohammed; work on strength and weights, AND kick his ass in every practice until he gets tough!! He will get his points. You do know there are specialists for hire who do exactly that. I do believe Joe D has made another great move we'll see, HOWEVER, Pistons also need to work on Sheed's attention span and mouth zipper.
  7. Well, we still don't know what is REALLY going on in Detroit, but the first signs are evident. I personally thought Ben was going to stay (with the problems worked out) but that is NOT the case. Whatever that problem was, Ben is having no more of it. Yeah, Detroit should have kept Darko in the first place and he is gone. There simply are no replacements at center for Detroit. It was suggested that Sheed play the 5, but that is not going to work. Sheed does not like being too near the basket all the time. That's just the way he is! I will tell you this, the problems did not start with Flip, they started with that crybaby who just got kicked out of New York, uh, what's his name, something Brown! Well, as they say, we have to get over it and get on with building again. It can be done.
  8. Well Big Al, Thanks for that article. I didn't think I was a blow hard. Seems the verdict is in on Cuban's antics. If only he would take that and learn, I mean really learn from that, Dallas will be much better. He seems to mistake his antics for enthusiam that the team will accept and they won't, they are embarrassed by it and it is definitely dificult to play a top level NBA type game when you are being embarrassed by your owner at the same time and space. Having said that, good luck to you and your team next season. peace Bruce
  9. That's right! Come on, Bruce: Dallas a crybaby team? No more so than the Spurs who did nothing but hammer on Dallas all throughout the Finals. You want backstabbing cowards, take all those Spurs fans who were rooting for Miami! Gutless crowd, that! Now I WILL grant you that a lot of Dallas fans, media, a certain unnamed owner (who, despite his rants to the contrary, whined like hell throughout the playoffs) and a certain unnamed poster from Arlington, TX (whose username rhymes with "fig pal" ) blew a lot of the officiating way out-of-proportion. But the Mavs themselves? Yeah, a little; but not near as much as the folks surrounding them. Hey Big Al, How much of that quote are you attributing to me. Yeah I said Dallas is a dirty team but you included your reference to that with references to things other posters have said, not me. So, I will once again adddress the "dirty" playing Dallas Mavs. I have said every team knows how to take out a player if and when they want to. I have said elbows, feet and fists are used by Dallas players, and in the playoffs and caught on camera but I never called them backstabbing cowards. So what if the Spurs rooted for Miami, they did not have an obligation to root for Dallas what was so bad about that. I am sure a whole lot of other teams were not rooting for Dallas either; so what has rooting for another team have to do with the price of tea in China? Dallas plays dirty and Mark Cuban needs to shut up. My personal take is that he HURTS the team more than he helps them by doing that. Terry needs to get ahold of his professional morals when it comes to "nut fisting" and "nut kicking" an opposing player. Other than that, he is and is going to be a great player. Just don't try to tell me the great "untouchable" Dirk, does not use his elbows at critical moments in the game. (Yes, and a whole lot of other guys on other teams do the same). AND he shifts his feet a whole damn lot before dribbling. If they called traveling all the time the way it is defined, he would never get off a shot that he initiates from a standstill. Okay enough said. Once again I say don't fret, Dallas is good, can be better, and will be better next year now that they have been to the Finals and experienced those terrible losses. Just stop the fucking crying.
  10. Don't know how I missed that in the news. Very Sad and tragic. Anyway, hope the Lakers keep him so he can really put his teeth into the Triangle System next season. It was a tough learning curve for him for some reason (same as everyone else I guess).
  11. eXCELLENT wEBSITE lOTS OF INFORMATION AND gREAT sOLOS BY bOB bERG
  12. WOW, all this negativity because of what........ Oh, Dallas lost! Comon wake up, 25 teams lose every year or whatever the total minus the winner is. Dallas is a cry baby team, and a dirty team. Do you hear the 3rd, 4th teams making such a stink about everything. It is a game and there is only one winner each time period. Smoke screens are an infamous tool to be used by whomever wishes to disguise their true intentions or limitations. So, onward and upward into the next season and may the best team win (as they usually do). Sometimes, just sometimes though, the smartest team wins.
  13. Saw that report and others this morning. Very concerned as I live in San Bernardino near the fault line. Mostly I figure my time is up if it happens. Just plain too close to line. New home, new code sanctions when built but might not help at all if this one blows. FYI
  14. I guess I won't reply to it until I learn which came first, the chicken or the egg. Anway, peace..... ENDING 2006 Popovich chewing out Ginobli... Amare chewing out Suns... Carmelo chewing out Kmart and begging Nene to come back... Kobe chewing out Lakers ... Dallas having learned Finals lessons....... West swearing Grizzilies will be tougher.... LOOK for five or six (6) powers again in the West..... with the Clippers mixed up in there somewhere.......
  15. That was not a cheap shot at Kobe, but rather a comparison of the behavior of two other persons involved in the same type events as Kobe. Too bad you took it that way. And your undying defense of Kobe seems to indicate you condone everything he does. I hope I am wrong Noj. peace
  16. TO ALL THE PISTON FANS You ought to be pissed as hell. The Pistons self destructed right in front of the whole world. That was our "Back-to-Back" title for the taking. Without that self destructive behavior, there was no team in the entire league that could beat them this year. I am sure the causes will come out within the next week or so. Be watching and let the management of the Pistons know what asses they were to let that happen. :bwallace2: :bwallace2:
  17. TO ALL THE DALLAS FANS, You really should take heart in this Finals. Most teams DO NOT win on their first trip to the Finals. Even the Bulls, as great as they were, could not even get past the Pistons in the Eastern Finals for two years before making the finals. Of course, a little history was made after that but the point is the same. The Pistons likewise, could not get past the Lakers for two years before finally knocking them off. The only reason Miami is a first time winner is because BOTH TEAMS WERE FIRST TIME FINALISTS and one of them had to win. So don't fret, you have a good team, a very good team and next year things may well be different with the lessons learned this year.... They have a young team and can only get better....
  18. Well congrats to the Heat Even though I am a die hard Piston fan, I congratulate the Heat on their heart and "gut check" as Riles would say. :bwallace2: Mavs have learned the hard way the same as most other first time Finals participants. First, you are not playing against the Refs (no matter what the calls are) and therefore you must keep your focus and play the game. Second, you must keep your focus ALL the time. Third, you better have that gut check for the close out game 4 or all games once you get past game 4. Way to go Shaq and that was very humbling of you to say (on camera) that you were the "second option" on the Heat even though everyone tried to make you the first. You also handed the title trophy to Wade and did not disappear in a huff upon Wade's winning the MVP, vis a vie #8 when you won the MVP. Wade is much more man then #8.
  19. Hey Big Al, when I did see your post it was the next morning, and I was surprised there was live chat connected with this bulletin. I figured out how to use it but nobody was there. cu next time. Wait a minute, wasn't it you that said with three refs on the floor, they SURELY know what they are doing... Of course, needs to...... SHUT THE FUCK UP... truly he does more damage than good for the team image and concepts. His players may love him but NOBODY ELSE does including Stern, Jackson and all fans outside of Dallas.
  20. I kept waiting for Clarence Clemons to take that sax into a higher register and he never did. WTF was up with that bland rendition???? He put nothing into it. Was that piano accompanyment canned or live?? The piano should have been following him to enhance the nuances he was "trying" to put in, not leading him. PU
  21. Man, whatta game!! Figured all along Heat would win the three at home. Mavs have a lot of gut checking to do (Like Riley said). "Hey Bruce, do you honestly think that if the shoe were on the other foot and Shaq had fouled Stack or any other Mav for that matter, that he'd be getting the suspension handed out to Stack? Because let's be honest: Shaq just about breaks Stack's nose, and does he get suspended? No fucking way!" Big Al, don't want to belabor an argument but.... Yes I think if Shaq hit Stack or any Mav in the air while shooting while driving to the basket, taking their feet out and causing a possible serious injury like that, yes he would get suspended also. Now, having said that, when he just "fouls" hard or not, no he doesn't get suspended and probably won't. Moving on..... This was a great game though.
  22. Er, Sangry didn't say that; I did. Sangry says a lot of shit, but that one was mine! Unify these guys..... you bet Avery Johnson knows what the hell he is doing by complaining to high heaven...
  23. Oh Boo Hoo Hoo Dallas is supposed to be one of the deepest teams in the league, What is all the fuss about the 6th or 7th man???? It is all PR by Dallas. Stack is not that big a loss. First it was the Jet, now Stack. Shit, if these guys are all that damn important, why isn't the series over already??? STOP WHINING Root for your team so everyone else will shut up. I do know how you feel though. Talk about injustice. :bwallace2:
  24. Obviously all of you guys from TX have a lot at stake. You want your team to win. Like everyone else and their teams. Everyone gripes, like everyone else. BUT knock off all the bullshit. Dallas plays dirty when it can and when it thinks they will get away with something..... None of you can tell me that not for one minute did you not realize Stack was getting "revenge" for the foul Shaq made on him. The primary reasoning here is that Stack hit Shaq in the air. That is the reason for the suspension. Yes, it was a hard foul, yes, it was a flagrant, but when you take the legs out of someone in the air, shooting the ball, that is a suspension. Stu Jackson talked with Stack and with Shaq. You don't hear anyone from those conversations saying the suspension was unjust. You cannot take the legs out of someone in the air shooting the ball. You will sit a game period. OBTW, the Jet is still playing dirty. No, he no longer makes a fist, but watch his feet when he is in the air fighting for a ball against the big guys. How would you like a foot in your nuts??? AND Dirk throws as many elbows as anyone else. And let's face it, every player in the league "knows" a way to "get" somebody if necessary. So let's quit crying and play ball, and may the best team win....
  25. and do not forget WHITE CHOCOLATE. He is playing some great ball lately.
