  1. Speaking of turnovers, what about Cutino Mobley always giving up the ball late in the game for the Clippers. Everyone on the planet knows that the Clippers have to "slow" the game pace down to win against Phoenix and yet, he goes charging up the court, loses the ball or takes an ill advised long shots with nobody under the basket. Damn
  2. Nash better believe it because it is going to happen again and again.... The Clippers are a very good team...
  3. EXCUSE ME, but Dave Bing goes in there before Kidd, Archibald, Nash and Payton.
  4. Big Ben was on a tear, he was making one for two a few times and yes, the misses were air balls. Pistons got real complacent in final minutes of 4th quarter. An absolute rout turned into survival or at worst, "holding on." Mavs looking really good last night. BUT ALL MY TEAMS STILL ALIVE IN 2ND ROUND GO PISTONS :bwallace2: :bwallace2: :bwallace2:
  5. No. But you still get some points for getting close -- for example, 3 pts for picking the wrong winner of a series that goes 7 games. Guy i think that is what i meant. why would you get 3 pts if it went to game 7? is that only if you picked it to go 6? Let's say that you pick the Suns to beat the Clippers in 7. The Clippers end up winning the series in 7. Since you were within one game of picking the outcome correctly, you get 3 points. If the Clippers end up winning in 6, you get 1 pt because you were within 2 games. Guy WTF is so hard to figure out??? Here is the original scoring system that Soulstation gave in Post 1 Scoring System Series 05 points for 1st round winners x 8 teams = 40 points possible 10 points for 2nd round winners x 4 teams = 40 points possible 15 points for 3rd round winners x 2 teams = 30 points possible 20 points for 4th round winner X 1 team = 20 points possible 130 points possible for the series winners Number Of Games Per Series All Series Same Point Total 5 points for bull-eye 3 points within 1 game 1 point within 2 games
  6. Heck, it's amazing I am not even lower considering I got both the Denver-Clips and Clev-Wash series wrong. Now that is strange, if you got two series wrong that is a possible 20 points off. How could you have 66 points. Sounds like your tops would be 60 if everything else was perfect. Exactly what were your picks, can you check the picks Soulstation?? (not trying to rain on his parade but he admits to having two series completely wrong). There was only a possibility of 80 points if a person was perfect on all picks.
  7. Well, he gets what he wants and she gets a whole worldwide audience of NBA fans to recognize her and her career, mainly "Desparate Housewives" and that movie with Keifer Sutherland and Michael Douglas. Pretty even deal........
  8. Game was good, but knew something was missing, that was it. I am surprised she was not there for that first game and that makes my prediction wrong already. Stackhouse is "blew" at least a tie and overtime. What a bonehead move on his part. Now the Pistons winning by that huge whopping margin, that was somethin' else.
  9. SS1 what is your score for first round?
  10. Man, the Lakers are done, cooked, fini NBA POOL I got Phoenix in 6 so that gives me 5+3 = 8 points My total now is 65 points FOR THE fIRST rOUND
  11. Hey SS1, didn't you set this up? your original 5-3-1 made more sense, not the one you are showing here. Why wouldn't you get more points for being closer by one game then by two? Isn't that incorrect? I thought you said: (see your original thread - post #1) 5 points for a bulls-eye on total games 3 points for being within 1 game 1 point for being within 2 games makes more sense!! Ooops, does this change your score?
  12. NBA POOL Okayy, Now I have SA in 6 = 5+8 another 8 points That gives me 57 points Only Kobe and the Lakers vs. Phoenix are left tomorrow night.
  13. NBA POOL Clips 5+1 =6 Mavs 5+0 =5 Pistons 5+5 = 10 NJ 5+5 = 10 Miami in 6 = 5+5 another 10 points 41 points total Cleveland in 6 gives me another 5+3 points = 8 Total is now 49 points Can't wait for SA and SAC to end. Artest turns ankle, SAC in trouble, will probably get SA in 6 Expect Lakers to lose in Phoenix,
  14. Well, isn't that the way it is being run now? How could anyone expect any points for "number of games" if they don't have at least one of the teams in the series? I definitely agree with you if we have somehow been doing it another way. You got to get one of the two participating teams right to get the "games" points. I believe you need to have the "right" team to get the 5 and the "game" points (5-3-1). If your team loses and you guessed the "games" then you get only the "game" points. That would be fair. I have been picking only series winners, doesn't matter who the loser is, thus; Winner and any loser = 5 points plus points for "games" Any other winner and your pick loses = 0 points plus points for "games" Both teams other than your picks(win or lose) = 0 points plus 0 points for "games" However, to this point I have only been counting my winning teams plus points
  15. On the move now, Clips 5+1 =6 Mavs 5+0 =5 Pistons 5+5 = 10 NJ 5+5 = 10 plus Miami in 6 = 5+5 another 10 points 41 points total
  16. Clips 5 +1 = 6 Mavs 5 +0 = 5 Pistons 5 + 5 = 10 Wow, NJ in 6, I now have Clips 5+1 =6 Mavs 5+0 =5 Pistons 5+5 = 10 NJ 5+5 = 10 Total 31 points
  17. Man, you are in denial but..... I do know that we BOTH are going to enjoy the next couple of games, especially if it does go to a 7th game. Or maybe just the 6th game will be a greatly contested game with the Lakers on top.... who knows. Peace Noj Bruce
  18. Wow, you read what you want to read and interpret. Who said Shaq and Kobe were the only ones being physical. Who said other defenders don't use elbows. Yes Kobe was assinine because Bell talked of the actual physical confrontations, Kobe came up with some off the wall (Bell doesn't exist shit) explanation of the man's existance. Yes, that was assinine and you know it. You saw the game and I did too and we all saw the replays. AND you better believe Bell would have kicked Kobe's ass if he came off that floor in any way other than what he did. Now that is a fact that everybody saw, not just me. I know you love the Lakers and I have been a fan of the Lakers (Western Conference) ever since I hit Los Angeles way back in the Pan Pacific Auditorium days, but you would not know anything about that! I am a fan of the Lakers but my TEAM of choice (considering organization, treatment of players, front office etc., etc.,) is the Detroit Pistons. Bruce
  19. If you watch the games "closely" and most everyone does and accept the "truth", then you will see Kobe elbowing guys right and left. You will also see on the tapes Kobe elbowing people in the face the same way Shaq does. So everyone quit elevating Kobe to some sainthood status because you like the Lakers. Bell was right in his assessment of what has been happening. But the name Bell does not ring like the name Kobe. Kobe got exactly what he deserved, thrown on his ass. In the interviews Kobe did not address the "reason" for the clothline foul, but tried to make it sound like "who is this guy?" "I don't know him" "He must have not gotten enough huggs as a kid" How assanine can you sound? And why didn't Kobe get up and get in Bell's face the way he did Nash: BECAUSE Bell will kick his ass, that's why. The fact is: Kobe has been playing dirty with Bell (and anyone else who guards him too close); Bell got tired of it; Bell retaliated. Bell suspended, case closed.
  20. I now have total of 21 points: Clips 5 +1 = 6 Mavs 5 +0 = 5 Pistons 5 + 5 = 10
  21. I have 11 points total so far. For Clips 5 +1 = 6 For Mavs 5 +0 = 5 Bruce
  22. At this moment, Chi 78 Mia 76 4th quarter, 5 minutes remaining
  23. Me thinks you like the Lakers...
  24. It was a charge and the replay clearly showed that. So Kobe dunking over the much shorter Nash is a big thing????? A charge is a charge is a charge.....
