Denon, Baystate, Horo, Fluid, Victor, Soul Note is what I have for Max of that period. don't forget the two Bridgewater Brothers LPs... very nice Denon sessions in great sound. Quote

I think it was very early Elvin Jones on drums. Benny Green may not be J.J. Johnson or Curtis Fuller, but he is wonderful. I think some of the best Benny Green I ever heard was on that live album he made with Hank Mobley.... Quote

'Soul Stirrin' ' is a really good album. Interesting to hear a pre-Coltrane Elvin Jones, already breaking up the rhythmn. Plus there is mystery-man tenor 'Jug', in addition to Billy Root. Quote

But it's not TP so certain people will never listen to it.... in fact they rather listen to a very average Blue Note record than to any great jazz record that is not on Blue Note.
