It was quite the phenomenon in its time. I doubt most kids even know that the antichrist is called Damien any more. Quote

And it’s not over yet it’s that one time a year when I am all alone for a full day. My wife’s in Italy for her job. My kids are having a sleepover at my parents. So it’s just me, jazz and Belgian craft beer this whole afternoon. I even bought Westvleteren for this occasion. Don’t get me wrong I love my wife and kids, they’re the very best thing in my life but I love that one afternoon of rest and just my own presence. You’re a young father as well you must know what I’m talking bout It’s now up to Frank and Elmo! Quote

Kevin Bresnahan Posted October 30, 2024 Report Posted October 30, 2024 Jerry Bergonzi - Jerry Bergonzi Quartet featuring Bruce Gertz (New Age Records). This is a pretty good record, with Gonz stretching out a bit here & there. Strangely, the names of the keyboard player and the drummer are purposefully avoided in the liner notes, making me wonder if they were under contract to a label and couldn't be identified. Although, I have seen Gonz play piano for a tune or two at his live shows. Hmmm.... This doesn't sound overdubbed though. Quote
