Pink Floyd - A SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS - Columbia UK first pressing MONOO!!! :excited:

Any idea if this was a fold-down, or was there a specific mono mix for this one?

It's a specific mono mix, though according to http://www.pinkfloyd-co.com/disco/saucer/saucer_trivia.html 'Jugband Blues' 'is the only track with notable differences between the stereo and mono versions'.

BTW I don't have the stereo pressing at the moment so I can't do a direct A/B comparison.

Thanks Porcy!

NP: The Great Wide World of Quincy Jones - Mercury (mono)

Ever noticed how 1950s Mercury pressings have a distinct armoa, not unlike acetate discs?

No, unfortunately I am anosmic. :(

Introducing Carl Perkins (Dooto)

Original or 70s reissue, Bill? Great album by the way.

Original and in very good condition. Bought very cheaply at a record collectors' fair in Manchester ten years ago. He's a great piano favourite of mine!

Earl Grant - EARL GRANT SINGS AND PLAYS SONGS MADE FAMOUS BY NAT COLE - Brunswick.

I should think that's very nice. I quite like Earl Grant. I have a German Brunswick of "Nothin' but the blues", with Plas Johnson, which I like very much, though I think I need to do a serious cleaning job on it before I play it again.

Now playing

Just spinning Gonz's "Front End" on Not Fat Records. Gonz is Jerry Bergonzi, Bruce Gertz and Bob Gullotti.

The only bad thing about this record is that it has me wishing I had the other Not Fat Records recordings by Gonz. :)
