paul secor
Dizzy/Stitt/Getz: For Musicians Only (Verve Japan) Interesting to listen to this after reading the thread that Larry started. Stan Getz certainly held his own on the date.

sidewinder
'Bebop Highlights' (Temple M-555). Parker/Gillespie/Powell air-check jam from circa 1951. Anyone know anything about this 'Temple' label and where it came from?
jazztrain
Some information on line suggests it might be a UK issue.  However, other sources suggest that it might be a Danish label from the mid 1960s.  Finally, as mentioned below, it might be a Boris Rose issue. Here's a copy of the label, which doesn't provide any help   Here's a not very helpful picture showing the record cover as well:   I searched for similar catalog numbers and found a few, including this for M-554:   Here's Temple M-551:   And Temple M-552:   The following page mentions that the label was associated with Boris Rose:  http://www.depanorama.net/dems/02dems2b.htm Here's the cover of Temple M-550:   So, that covers M-550, M-551, M-552, M-554, and M-555.  What about M-553? All I can find is this item, but it's a completely unrelated 78 reissue label:  Perhaps this should be moved to discography.
kh1958
Yesterday morning, a purple label pressing of Eric Dolphy's Outward Bound, except it wasn't--it was Eric Dolphy's Out There. The cover, label, and inner groove numbers all corresponded to Outward Bound, and the pressing was stamped Van Gelder. Weird.

The black label design and vinyl weight is suspiciously similar to a 1960s Danish Debut Massey Hall LP I have so maybe there is a connection there. I'd put my money on Denmark !
