jeffcrom
George Adams/Don Pullen Quartet - Life Line (Timeless) Picked this one up yesterday at the little record store down the street. It was my last music purchase before my attempt to go through the whole month of August without buying any records or CDs. My brain, wallet, and shelves need a break. JohnS
Michel Legrand; Legrand Jazz. Japanese Philips. A space-age bachelor essential. I've not played this in years, much more enjoyable than I remembered. Excellent album.

WorldB3
Taru - Lee Morgan. When my wife asks how many Lee Morgan records do you have I saw not enough. Love George Benson's Grant Green-isms on the boogaloo tracks on this.
Teasing the Korean
Michel Legrand; Legrand Jazz. Japanese Philips. A space-age bachelor essential. I've not played this in years, much more enjoyable than I remembered. Excellent album. I am pretty awed by Michel Legrand. I would be amazed enough at his composing and arranging, but he's also one hell of a pianist and a very good, if idiosyncratic, singer. WorldB3
Did you ever see him in the movie "Cléo de 5 à 7" (1962) He basically plays himself but he is great. Fans of 60's French cinema will get a kick out it. I going to pick up that record asap. jeffcrom
Ornette Coleman - Friends and Neighbors: Live on Prince Street (Flying Dutchman). Why haven't I listened to this in a while? This quartet - Coleman, Redman, Haden, & Blackwell - was as good as any band Ornette led.
